[ERG] Open for virtual business!

If you move your business to Ergonia:

1. No taxes on business income/assets provided the account is doing business

2. The opportunity to apply for 0.01% interest loans

3. Safety and security (Only VBNC and the Vraillan Isles are more secure, and
that is simply because the bank architect, Andreas, also runs those locations)

4. Ergonia's economic world city, Kulma, is accessible by all the major eastern
shipping lanes and is only a short ferry ride away (perhaps replaced in the
future by a trans-Taylorian undersea rail link) from the Vraillan Isles, home
to the VBNC and other international conglomerates

1. 99% of countries don't tax their businesses, period. Why would someone move their company to your country if there's a risk you'll tax it for inactivity?

2. Regardless of interest rates, what incentive does someone have to accept a loan from you? Also, what incentive does someone have to repay the loans you give them? Ergonia lacks any real investment opportunities, as well as the authority to enforce its loans.

3.
Considering that 99.9% of SCUE users simply hoard their money, how can you claim that your country is any safer or more secure than any other?

4. Shipping lanes huh? What are you shipping? What are your neighbors shipping? Nothing?

Edit: Loans are pointless if they're not preceded by investment opportunities. If you're only offering loans, you're offering nothing.

Good Sir,

Thank you for your reply. Before I respond, I wish to point
out that Hamland is an ally and trading partner and, per our
treaty with Hamland, I seek only to promote and enhance
bilateral trade and economic ties between our two nations.
Thus I will not reply to everything, just what I think needs
to be clarified for our mutual understanding.
3.
Considering that 99.9% of SCUE users simply hoard their
money, how can you claim that your country is any safer or
more secure than any other?
Well there have been incidents in other nations. My own
personal money has been taken before, for example. Jonas
Windsor even is now moving his money to another nation due
to concern that it may be seized.

Now, I sense that you feel that you may have been offended by my
statement that in effect Ergonia is the 'most secure place to
put one's money other than the Vraillan Isles.' Well, in the
interest of mutual cooperation between Ergonia and Hamland,
through the framework established by our treaty, I apologize
if any offense was taken, and hereby clarify as follows:
Hamland is a powerful economic entity in Keltia, and, moreover,
Hamland also may be as secure as Ergonia as a location to
place one's money.

It may interest you to know that Hamland was not the motivation
for my original statement, Shireroth was. If not even Jonas
Windsor can safely store his Erb in Shireroth, then perhaps
Shireroth needs to enact economic reforms. Of course Shireroth
is a strong nation in other areas, not necessarily economic.
4. Shipping lanes huh? What are you shipping? What are your
neighbors shipping? Nothing?

Edit: Loans are pointless if they're not preceded by investment
opportunities. If you're only offering loans, you're offering nothing.
Well, Hamland is our neighbor and Hamland is shipping things! If
you say our neighbors are not shipping anything, then you include
Hamland. I think you and I would both agree that Hamland is
definitely shipping things.

As for shipping lanes, we both know we have shipping lanes. We
have a treaty between our two nations which in effect recognizes
that the Morovia River as a shipping lane. Therefore, I think you
and I would both agree that we definitely have at least one shipping
lane. For that matter, we also have shipping lanes on the eastern
shores of Ergonia, going to the Brettish Isles and Shireroth, as per
maps we have already created, and although we have not created
maps for them yet, there are also shipping lanes going to Mercury
and the Vraillan Isles, location of the headquarters of Andreas the
Wises' international conglomerate VBNC, just a few hundred kilometres
away.

If there are any questions for comments, feel free to ask or make
them, respectively.

Regards,

Supreme Councillor Lange
The Independent Realm of Ergonia
