Junior Council member nominations?

Re: Junior Council member nominations?
If it doesn't require TOO much time. Though I find the discussion to be moot as no one in their right mind would vote for me* =P.

As expected, I respectfully decline. Once was enough.SaiKar wrote:I nominate Andreas, though I'll understand if he doesn't accept.

Can I nominate Einhorn and me? I'll do so anyway.
Re: Junior Council member nominations?
I can't believe I'm doing this, but...
I'd like to self-nominate/volunteer for the post, I think. As far as qualifications: I have a keen interest in micronational cartography and the MCS map, which has fortuitously manifested in a show-off-able example of my work, as seen here (keep in mind that that's a work in progress, though). Also, I think I helped design one of the newer continents on the MCS map, although it's long enough ago now that I can't swear to that anymore.

I also support the nomination of Shyriath if I may as a Council Member. The GreatBigMap is quite awesome

I withdraw my nomination as it's pretty pointless anyway and totally supports Shyriath.

Alright. It's been almost 2 weeks since the last post in this thread. How about we wrap this up so that the decision can be made, and Shyriath joins the council.
EDIT: Almost 2 weeks, save Malliki's post above, of course.

Re: Junior Council member nominations?
I don't know what's going on...
I was being nagged to do this, but at the same time I was being nagged for a separation of council and cartographers and then I wasn't sure what I'm supposed to do first, and since it seemed like I'm running the darn thing when I'm not meant to be. note that every council member is as powerful as each other, i.e., instead of just bumping the topic Chrimigules could have actually gone into council or admin discussion and tried to work out how we're selecting the council member, perhaps replied to this thread: http://micras.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4627 wherein I ask how we're going to select the junior council member, which I received zero replies to.
Here's what it says

I posted that on December 6th.dr-spangle wrote:We have to decide on a junior council member, the charter says we should always have one, and that if a council member leaves the junior council member is promoted to their position in the council, and amendment 11e basically says vilhelm has 3 weeks left (unless he miraculously turns up and is active)
We need to decide the best way to elect a junior council member, it might be a nice idea to write whatever we decide down in an amendment to the charter to keep it known for the future
Someone suggested to me that we should select a variety of possible junior council members, ask them if they want to do it, and then put it to a vote between the nations, one vote per nation, let it run for 2 weeks, and whoever is elected becomes the new junior council member.
This seems a decent idea.
If everyone else agrees we should start nominations?

Re: Junior Council member nominations?
Spangle, you've not been nagged to do anything and there's not been anything you've "supposed" to have done either.
In all fairness, I'm fine with just accepting Shyriath as being the Junior Council Member right now, regardless of the ad hoc way we've come to this. His work is excellent and it's a popular choice (clearly). After this, we can then maybe think about dividing the Council and the Cartographers (which, in fact, is a concept you brought-up on MSN a few days ago, Spangle, for something to be considered - no nagging or pressuring ). So, who's up for Shyriath becoming the Junior (which, considering Vilhelm'a activity would practically promote him to full Council Member anyway) and then having us properly discuss the splitting of Council and Cartographers afterwards?

Re: Junior Council member nominations?
No need to get on my case. I just wanted to know if this matter was dead or not. Regardless of whether he gets on the council, Shyriath should be involved cartographically.

Re: Junior Council member nominations?
I'm sure I asked this relatively recently, but why on earth is Vilhelm still on the council?
