1st level division

1st level division
Some of Micras's countries have a first-level administrative division, such as Shireroth (Kildare, Goldshire, ELwynn etc) and they include subdivisions (Carol Island in Kildare, Ynnraile in Goldshire and Raikoth in Elwynn for example).
The subdivisions have a normal black TNR font for their markings, but were the first-level division to be marked... how should that be marked to differentiate it from its own subdivisions?

Re: 1st level division
We use squared parentheses for nations' names to differentiate those from subdivision names, so I guess we could maybe use rounded ones or underline, or something, if people feel it's necessary...

Re: 1st level division
NO. UNDERLINES. EVER.
*calms down*
Unless when talking about a brand new map, and underlining an already bold label, like Smalltown -> Big City -> REGIONAL CAPITAL -> THE CAPITAL.
Excuse me for my outburst. I have developed a deep hate against underlines in computer software. Even now they are an unconsulted breakaway from typographic rules in most of the software, like MS Word.
If labels were to be underlined on the map, it would have to be done manually, cause we all know MSPaint and its quirks I'm all for parentheses, though.

It wouldn't be too much of a problem, there'd only be nations like Shireroth that would need them addingpawelabrams wrote:If labels were to be underlined on the map, it would have to be done manually, cause we all know MSPaint and its quirks I'm all for parentheses, though.

Re: 1st level division
Only one nation using them would be even more confusing
Parentheses would be OK and in line with brackets for countries, I think
