A rather daring move....
The resolution below was passed in Castrum Nazarene earlier today, against all popular wisdom .
Resolution 711.01: Regarding Warfare
DESIRING to simulate as closely as possible the realities faces by nation states in the real world.
RESOLVED that Castrum Nazarene will accept military strikes upon its territory without prior consent from His Grace the Archbishop's Government with the condition that acknowledgement is received from His Grace of any initial action before further belligerence occurs.
DETERMINED that conclusions to any military conflicts will be made with due regard to realism, particularly in relation to territorial transfers in so far as current legislation allows.
CONCLUDING that the good will of our immediate and more distant neighbours will be sufficient to prevent abuse of this resolution.
RATIFIED upon the affixing of His Grace's signature.
REPEALED should a future Resolution command it to be so.
SIGNED by His Grace Archbishop Alfred Dunholm on the 27th day of June in the Year of our Lord 2011.

Daring indeed! I hope that other Governments are brave enough to follow your example!

Well if part of the nation gets invaded and occupied it gives something to begrudge eternally, if the whole nation is occupied you can have a government in exile, it's all culture!

Re: A rather daring move....
I wasn't thinking of myself at that point haha. I was thinking more along the lines of the French inter-war obsession with Alsace-Lorraine
Re: A rather daring move....
I like the idea of this, but i'm not sure on a point. Does this mean that ANYONE can attack Castrum Nazarene or is it only other nations who have signed the treaty?

Nice in theory, but isn't Castrum Nazarene entirely landlocked?

A fun logistical challenge then for anyone tempted to try.

I like the way things are going:
Hmmm...Well if part of the nation gets invaded and occupied it gives something to begrudge eternally, if the whole nation is occupied you can have a government in exile, it's all culture!

I wouldn't say that so much as it seems to be a trend to not answer someone if they feel that the answer is "obvious" enough. But to clear things up for you, this is a resolution i.e. a document produced by their legislature or, more likely, their head of state. You don't have to sign it because it is essentially stating that they'll recognize all attacks, not a treaty for people to sign.Gareth wrote:I Like how everyone kindly dodged my question
