Yes, it is standard practice that where a unit is ill- or un- defined, any disagreement will be resolved in favour of the (most similar) real-life unit.Malliki Tosha wrote:Thank you Montague. Should we also assume that when a unit is not specified, it takes the characteristics of the standard units in the convention? I'm mostly thinking about the badly named units in Harold Radioactiv's Orbat.

Re: Interlandian Side Orders of Battle
Since You're accepting experience from non-RecWar conflicts, I want to add information about one of my units - Hokutian Mountain Infantry Regiment - which fought in Skavlandian rebellion. The story of whole conflict is here: http://www.surmenia.org/muzeum_ps/historia.html (only in polish, sorry, I hope Google Translator will make it at least partially comprehensible ) You can also read the "war reports", published on Surmenian Defence Forces site - part 1 http://surmenskiesilyobronne.wordpress. ... kawlandii/, part 2 - http://surmenskiesilyobronne.wordpress. ... ndii-cz-2/. If you're looking for this unit - in polish it's "Hokucki Pułk Strzelców Górskich".

I thought that only recwars counted for experience?

This is a partial misunderstanding. Timoteos got 'Recwar' as 'Annunia Convention'. Those were recwars, but ruled by a different convention (or lack of it and relying solely on judges).

I'm not sure that it is just recwars if I'm honest.
I'll have a poke around and I ask fellow judges for their opinions.

I tend to include any sort of war related narrative or story they've been involved in if it adds to their backstory and why they shouldn't be regarded as completely 'green'.
Re: Interlandian Side Orders of Battle
Charter is pretty open on this. Generally any sort of conflict, official recwar or not, where the unit fought as a unit is enough to gain them experienced status. But it has to be those specific men, armor, ships, airplanes, or so on. If there has been reshuffling in the meantime (as is very likely since I doubt Interland fought internal recwars with exactly 25000 units of OrBat) then only the forces fighting previous wars would be considered experienced and the rest of the OrBat would not be.

Re: Interlandian Side Orders of Battle
I'd just like to compliment the judges on their excellent, fair and calm handling of the various issues brought up so far by the war. In particular, I applaud them reviewing orbats before the combat and ensuring non-standard features are made clear to both sides - something which has never been fully done before (we did it a bit in the Jasonian War but a few discrepancies still slipped through and caused disputes later). As one of the main authors of the Anunia Convention, I'm delighted to see the spirit of it applied so well, particularly with regards to non-standard technology. After the war, do feel free to make suggestions for changes to the Anunia Board (which I really should organise more elections for ...).
And a final reminder to all participants; if all else fails, go off the points values. If they claim to have abilities far beyond what their points value implies, points triumph over claimed abilities.

Re: Interlandian Side Orders of Battle
When were all of the problems with Samir's OrBat I forgot about my OrBat Of course we can say that my "helicopters of general application" are Bell UH-1 Iroquois (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_UH-1_Iroquois).
By the way, I saw that the actual proposed date of the start is 20th September. I don't have any idea where can I and should I inform that I will be offline from 20th to 24th September. I know that is important and after that I can take command of my OrBat on 25th September.

Re: Interlandian Side Orders of Battle
In actual fact pushing the start date back a wee bit would help me a lot....As I'm half LOA from now till Saturday (18.09) up North and then I'm away again from then till the 26th of September.....So 25th would just about be no problem for me....
