Re: Official Battleground Thread
Summary: All vehicles near my position are covered with grid masking. The night has come, but there are some lights on horizon line. Probably Antican ships. Ghoul in his exoskeleton looked at the way the lights blink, and then he turned to his soldiers, drinking beer on their tanks, smoking or just playing poker.
- Hey, tidy up this mess under your feet and cover all the machines with masking.

Re: Official Battleground Thread
Summary: My forces are evidently confused about what it is they're supposed to be doing and as such take up defencive positions around Newfoundland. Aircraft begin routine patrols off the east coast of the island from their base in Melton. The chiefs of staff retire to the Whitefrair's Inn. Request for clarification as to the purpose of the mission sent to HRM."So, in conclusion" Archbishop Dunholm finished, "I have little or no idea exactly what it is we're supposed to be doing or why." The assembled commanders exchanged looks of alarm as the Archbishop sat down and opened his arms as a gesture for contributions from the others. Papers were shuffled awkwardly and the ceiling suddenly seemed to become very interesting for most of the assembled army officers, eventually however one General broke the silence with "pub?" A general consensus was reached that the pub was probably the best way to go, and after concluding that there was nothing else for it the group filed out of the control room leaving the scribe looking bemused as the door slammed behind the last person out of the room. Then however the Archbishop stuck his head around the door and, as an after-thought, interjected "oh, and Johnson, get the troops to take up defences around Newfoundland will you" before the door war snapped nearly shut once more.

Re: Official Battleground Thread
Summary: Because Ryan didn't declared his losses in more than 24 hours after my last edition of post (required by judges), I declare that in airfight we destroyed 2 enemy fighters and 1 bomber, and heavily damaged 1 other fighter. 1 bomber was also shooted down by air defence after the fight (he was in the range due to damages which made him lower his altitude), and 2 others were lightly damaged. I think this losses are realistic and I hope there weren't be more protests about this.- How about estimating enemy losses, major?
- We found two wrecks on land, two enemy aircrafts was lost from the radars over the sea and only one of them was confirmed by our forces - it was seen falling and exploding by one of our patrols... Wait a minut, I've got a second call...
(...)
- Yes, we just confirmed fourth enemy lost aircraft. We've found the pilot close to the coast, floating on some kind of wood. He's alive, but frozen stiff and dehydrated. He's on the way to hospital.
- Lucky one. For him, the war is over. All right, Thank you for your's efforts.

You can't 24-hour-rule something when it is the object of a judicial petition. That should be pretty self-evident. Furthermore, I can't really see what edit you've done and you haven't said anything about it in the judicial petition thread.

Re: Official Battleground Thread
Summary:'Lieutenant, the four Interlandian fighters we've had radar contact with are within range now', said the radar operator aboard SAR Fist of Democracy.
'Order our CAP fighters to engage immediately, I can't understand why the Interlandians attempt to take off when both we and the 1st Carrier Strike Group are flying CAP over Montauk', Lieutenant Blork replied. 'Relay this order to Phalanx as well'.
A few moments later the reply from Phalanx came in.
'Msg rcvd.'
'Control, this is Growler 1-2. Requesting green light to fire.'
'Growler 1-2, this is Control. You have green light.'
Static.
'Magnum.'
'Affirmative. Remain on patrol.'
Fighters from 2nd Carrier Strike Group engage four Interlandian fighters over Montauk island, but do never venture below 9,000 meters. Sidewinders and other missiles are more than capable of reaching targets in airspace covered by Interlandian AA.
The four EA-18G Growlers of the Electronic Attack Squadron have launched a total of eight AGM-88 HARM missiles, hoping the missiles will home in on any radar facilities in the area.
(I want to establish once and for all the extent of Interlandian fighter activity over Montauk island. Either we have control or the airspace is contested.)

Re: Official Battleground Thread
Outcome of the Antican attack:
- Two Interlandian fighters destroyed, two escape undamaged after successful use of flairs
- The port radar facility in Port Montauk destroyed by HARMs
- Antican fighters flying CAP maintain air superiority
- Any unidentified aircraft taking off from Montauk or entering Montauk airspace at any altitude will now automatically be fired upon

Re: Official Battleground Thread
I am waiting for the judges to make a ruling on the JP given that the last thing they asked of me was information about altitude. That is the last I have heard on the matter, and therefore I am waiting on them before I can post losses.TimoteosStefanosigos wrote:Summary: Because Ryan didn't declared his losses in more than 24 hours after my last edition of post (required by judges), I declare that in airfight we destroyed 2 enemy fighters and 1 bomber, and heavily damaged 1 other fighter. 1 bomber was also shooted down by air defence after the fight (he was in the range due to damages which made him lower his altitude), and 2 others were lightly damaged. I gave my ruling a long time ago, but it was discarded because Malliki wanted "a second opinion."

Re: Official Battleground Thread
OOC: Considering we established your altitude, just be prepared to take losses from any Montaukian fighter interference.
By the way, I feel officially moved to declare that this is fast becoming the worst recwar of all time. If anyone wants to try and beat it, feel free to offer up other valid recwars in a separate thread.

Stop complaining ffs. It's enough when Harvey does it.
Do you have a policy of not replying to PMs or what?

Re: Official Battleground Thread
OOC: Having seen your complaints on the Antican Forum, Speaker, I am not the only one who is dismayed with the quality and the breadth of the recwarring.
But seeing the other judges haven't done anything about it, here's an official judicial order. P.S Don't rile the judges as we're only human.
OFFICIAL JUDICIAL INTERVENTION ORDER
Malliki secretly launched a stealth reconnaisance of the area where Pawel's carrier and has discovered it.
However, I will be honest, I cannot realistically sanction the reconnaisance being undetectable by means of stealth. In the act of looking on radar (which I assume and think it only reasonable to assume as visual identification would prove next to fruitless) the aircraft would have emitted electronic signals searching for the units and therefore would be traceable and negating the stealth ability. In the same sense, as Pawel only stated position of his carrier and not precautions AS WELL as stating the position of another of his vessels which was "on lookout" it is reasonable as judge to assume that they were not electronically blacked out.
Therefore I order the following:
1. Malliki's 2 fighters have been revealed by lack of altitude and electronic emissions.
2. Pawel's carrier has been spotted visually by Malliki's 2 fighters (within a distance of 5 miles for clear confirmation) whilst another of Pawel's vessels has been spotted to the north by virtue of its radar emissions but not visually.
3. Malliki has the first move, with Pawel launching a counter-move BEFORE his response to any move Malliki carries out.

I said 10,000 meters, not feet. I also split my fighters inyo two locations, so all four can't be spotted at the same time. I would prefer it if you get your facts straight before you make my secret moves public.

As for my action, I will wait until you edit the ruling with the correct facts.

I'd prefer it if you showed some decorum and respect to the people who have given up their time to judge what has become a pointless little recwar. I'm perfectly willing to introduce a Contempt of Rulings concept into judging recwars.Malliki Tosha wrote:I said 10,000 meters, not feet. And from now on use feet.
