Junior Lieutenant Cecil Mandrias brought his fighter down for a low pass. Below, he watched the burning hulk of the Interlander aircraft carrier as it sank further down into the sea. It had a severe list to port, and whatever aircraft were left on its flight deck had long since toppled into the water. From his altitude, Cecil could barely make out what appeared to be people bobbing up and down. He wasn't sure which ones were alive and which ones were dead, but had been ejected from their ship as it was torn apart by four dozen heavy guided bombs. After watching for a few seconds, he could see one of the bodies make a conscious waving motion with his arms.

"Mandrias to CAG. I confirm. Survivors sighted in the water."

After a moment of silence, Captain Peneus responded. "Understood, Lieutenant. We'll deploy rescue helicopters shortly. Head back home."

JrLt Mandrias pulled back on the control and throttled up, turning away from the wreckage back south to the Pherousa.

Twenty Four Hours
With Antican air domination preventing the aircraft carrier from successfully launching a counterstrike, the eight Antican fighters successfully drop all 48 2,000-lb JDAMs onto the aircraft carrier in sequence. The aircraft carrier is sunk, along with any aircraft still aboard at the time of the attack, and any aboard that tried to escape.

Summary:
Two Helicopters are deployed to the location of the sunk Interlander aircraft carrier in order to search and retrieve any surviving Interlander sailors. Any survivors found will be ferried to a holding facility in Newport, Samudra.
Doto continues to shell Montauk City's defenses.
Galene continues anti-sub and anti-air search and destroy operation.
Other helicopters continue anti-sub search operation with dipping SONAR.

Air wing continues to contribute to the Antican CAP over Montauk.

"Cease fire" murmured the Captain lying in his own blood. His ship was sinking - and he had no chance of escape.

The Interlandian side wanted peace before you fired these torpedoes. Not very humanitarian, is it?

I think the Interlandian side should tell us if any aircraft were lost with the two sunk carriers, and if not, where they went since Montauk doesn't have an airfield and the Interlandian mainland is too far away.

An open letter to all belligerents:

The Holy Anglican Church of St George condemns in the strongest possible terms the excessive force deployed in the course of this conflict, specifically with regard to the recent destruction of the Interlandian aircraft carriers. While the Church understands, and laments, that by it's very nature war does require the use of violence the needless waste of human life is unjustifiable in that it causes great suffering to so many who need not suffer.

Henceforth, in the absence of His Royal Majesty the King, the Church extends it's desire for peace to the people of Interland and as a result will abandon all belligerent action towards any party. As of 2am on this day, Saturday 6th October 2010, peace shall once more reign in Nova England and in recognition of this great mercy the bells of the Anglican cathedral of St George shall ring over the city of Melton in jubilation.

The peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, be always with you.

Summary: in the absence of the King the Nova English church declares the state to be neutral. Volunteer lifeboats set off in the direction of the Interlandian carriers to attempt to pick up any survivors of any nationality.

We will 48-hour-rule aircraft losses if reasonable losses are not reported by the Interlandian side.

8 fighters lost on the ship. 7 others flew to Shirerithian bases on Norfolk and neighbouring isles. They will be flying in circles until the bases' towers allow them to land or they run out of fuel. In that case, the pilots will catapult themselves and their machines will rest peacefully in the navy blues of Mare Raynori.

Blowing up my carrier after a 'Cease fire' call wasn't humanitarian, I suppose.

I propose the peace conference to be held on Kaikias...

OOC: Proposing a peace conference doesn't constitute an actual surrender, that much is obvious.

Okay, but we can talk here, no problem. I'm waiting for clarification from Pawel, but I think the Antican position is crystal clear and has been from the beginning.

For now, it's an armistice.

Conference would be held on this fora, I suppose. The place is only for backstory purposes. And yeah, we are going to discuss a treaty.
