2024 continental championships host bidding
2024 continental championships host bidding
So it's high time to open up the application process for hosting next year's confederational tournaments! Each region's finals will take centre stage next summer!
The qualifiers will be held in their usual period of January-June, with the Confederations Cup being played over the same period in which the holders and hosts of each regional championships will compete in place of qualifying, having received automatic berths in their respective finals. Therefore, not only will the successful hosts get to stage their own tournament, their team will also have a chance at official silverware before it's even started!
While all four tournament sizes and berths have yet to be finalised - with the end-of-year rankings and membership numbers to dictate that - the FMF would like to suggest that any interested nations tailor their bids for the possibility of hosting a tournament involving eight teams; which is likely to be the largest field each could see. Any adjustments needed to cater for a smaller tournament shall be made once the hosts have been announced and qualification organised. We aspire to have all tournaments run as 8-team events this year, requiring at least four stadia to be named.
This bidding process shall remain open for five weeks and any bids received after November 24th will be disregarded. Successful hosts will then be announced shortly afterwards, following an FMF Executive vote, before the draws for each confederation's qualifying rounds are made in the days after. Qualification will begin on the last Wednesday of January and will take place over the same period of time as the familiar World Cup rounds.
As per a decision of the FMF council, no joint bids will be permitted for this competition, due to the format of the qualifiers and the Confederations Cup. Additionally, Senya, Phinbella and Sanama will be barred from hosting having held the last editions of the confederation championships and still remaining on Micras.
Additionally, due to the introduction of the FMF ground grading regulations, all prospective stadiums must have a minimum capacity of 20,000, with at least one stadium with a capacity in excess of 50,000 to host the final.
Could any prospective hosts please complete the form below with as much relevant information as possible and, at your discretion, any factors which make your bid more suitable than any others!

Government: Semi-Presidential Republic. Antonio Visciglia current President of the Republic; Angelo Greco, current Prime Minister.
Number of Leagues: 4 national division (Lega A, Lega B,Lega C, Lega D) + 1 Regional division (Lega Interregionale)
Number of Teams in Premier Division: 16
Why do you think you deserve to host the competition?:
Vegno's arrival on Micras was about 2 years ago and since then our interest and commitment in sporting competitions, especially football, has always been constant and growing. The Vegno national team qualified for a world championship for the first time in 2023, reaching this goal at the first attempt and making an excellent progress in the competition, with a qualification for the play-off round as second in the group, beating the champions in charge of Floria and the subsequent vice-world champions of Calbion. The Cormorani's journey was interrupted only in the quarter-finals, still achieving a historic result in their first participation.
At club level the nation has also grown a lot, reaching the semi-finals in the AEFA Champions League and reaching the FMF Champions League for the first time this year.
This represents for us the first real opportunity to host a real international competition and starting with the Copa Apollonia could be optimal for a country that is not very large either in terms of size or population, but suitable for hosting this competition given the constant growing interest in the football world . On an international level, the Vegnese relations are excellent with most of the nations on Micras, thus making it easy for fans to arrive for the competition.
The two main methods of arrival in the country will be by plane, with Cossa and Mhazar airports (the last one opened this year) being the main arrival points from which fans will be able to travel to other parts of the country by train or bus; for the occasion, aero traffic will also be opened to international flights from and to Sancrus airport, to facilitate the movement of teams and fans towards the island of Falange.

Leader: Dujz Chosiaz-kyrt (President)
Government: Republic
Number of Leagues: Four (Two professional, two amateur)
Number of Teams in Premier Division: 16
Why do you think you deserve to host the competition?: Krasnovlac has a rich footballing history despite being admitted into the FMF only a year ago. Nearly making the finals of the FMF World Cup and providing a number of players to top footballing nations. The country has a deep footballing culture too and streets are often filled with fans for the Krasnovlac Elite League and Rhict Cup - numbers which have only increased when FMF and AEFA football entered the national. It would be a brilliant experience for such a tournament to arrive in Krasnovlac where numbers are guaranteed for even the minnow group matches.
