Alduria 1-1 Floria
41' Miller(P)
50' Ramirez
Apollonian contenders Alduria and Floria battled it out in a lovely warm evening in the Estadio Varela. The match was fiercely contested throughout with both teams strong defences cancelling each other out. Alduria had a greater amount of possession than their Florian counterparts throughout the match and it would be the sons of Eura who would get on the scoreboard first, scoring a spot-kick after a clumsy challenge from Stewart Florian four minutes from half time. Floria's strongest period of the game would be the first 15 minutes of the second half and the team were rewarded by a classic Cristiano Ramirez free-kick just outside the box. Floria afterwards was then unable to breakthrough the Aldurian defence in the second half and was forced to defend for large periods in their own area for the rest of the game. Alduria could have scored two or more goals after Ramirez's equaliser but Northcliff United goalkeeper Tom Ward ensured that the game would finish tied with some magnificent saves against a team full of superstars playing in leagues such as the CrFA League 1 and Senyan Top League.
Floria will now focus on the Etourney friendly on the 28th June. The game will provide a tough test for Etourney as they compete in a major tournament for the first-ever time.
