Re: 2021 friendlies
*Played 2nd June*
Floria 1-2 Senya
15' - D. Ƨarkœvič
22' - Ƨ. Zvet
83' - K. Saint-Pierre
The World Cup hosts and holders' second meeting of the year ended in the same way as the first, with a narrow Senyan win. The team in green scored two condensed first-half goals; a daisy-cutter finish from the edge of the area by Domonik Ƨarkœvič being followed a few minutes later by Ƨinkœ Zvet's overlap and stabbed shot combo bettering Tom Ward at his near post. While Floria broke their jinx in the final ten minutes, they could have grabbed a consolation goal or more earlier in the half but for some wayward aiming. Young Kylian Saint-Pierre timed a run expertly to connect with Ainslee Farrar's ball through and poke home after a touch to control.
Only a goal between them at full time, with Floria's experimental line-up showing glimpses of class against Senya's strongest, which may give Draco Sanchez some welcome headaches ahead of the finals in just over a month's time.

Floria 2-0 Lamantia
14' - N.Evans
58' - K.St.Pierre
After an experimental lineup played against Senya last time out, all Florian national team players were available for duty on a lovely warm night in Blackoak against Lamantia, a somewhat common opponent for Floria in major tournaments. Floria dominated in offence throughout the match and Floria came out as comfortable 2-0 winners with goals scored by star right-back Nick Evans with a stunning strike outside the box and Kylian St-Pierre scoring in his second game in a row with a half volley which fortunately hit the post and in.
Floria now plays Etourney for their last warmup game before the Raspur Pact Nations League Finals where they play Elywnn in Sanama who will be significantly weakened after the horrific events the nation has seen over the past few months.

Etourney 0-0 Çakaristan
Visitors Çakaristan held Etourney to a goalless draw despite being outplayed for the majority of the match. The Etournians had the lion's share of possession and created more chances, but were halted by the Çakari stopper on a number of occasions whilst having little to do themselves defensively.

New Batavia 1-4 Calbion
7' - S. van Wittensteen
13' - O. Baine
30' - L. Wyn-Jones
73' - L. Morgan
78' - O. Baine
Calbion eased to victory over CTFA rivals New Batavia despite going behind thanks to a lightening start from the hosts. Youngster Saladin van Wittensteen raced through in the opening stages to score a surprise opener, but the Calbain were soon in control following an equaliser through Owen Baine's scorching shot after cutting in from a position wide-right. World Cup returnees Calbion took a lead into the second half too, dominating before Llewelyn Wyn-Jones headed home unmarked from a teasing cross. Although they had to wait for them, two more inevitable-looking goals came in quick succession after the break; Liam Morgan's arrival at the edge of the box finished up a move that had Artyr Falk's loose square ball end in an assist before Baine added a personal second with a goal similar to New Batavia's initial opener, with a break through the back line leading to a composed one-on-one finish.
A strong away win for Calbion to add to their qualifying form which will boost their confidence ahead of the World Cup.

*Played 13th June*
Calbion 3-0 Free Elwynn
22' - A. Falk
49' - A. Falk
90 - L. Wyn-Jones (pen.)
Free Elwynn's first ever match came against one of Micras' form teams, and the FMF newcomers were readily beaten as a result. Artyr Falk's brace added to his assist in the previous match, with two astute finishes either side of the interval capping off a confident display from Calbion. The first, midway through the first half, saw a run inside culminate in a shot that beat the 'keeper at his near post albeit via that same woodwork, while the second was a poacher's goal that saw a far-post finish at a corner bulge the roof of the net. A late third came from the penalty spot as star forward Llewelyn Wyn-Jones stroked the ball home after his original shot had been handled by one of the defenders.
Another win to keep Calbion on the right track following their World Cup finals hiatus, as they aim to advance from the group stages for the first time this summer in Floria.

*played 16th July*
The long-awaited friendly between Mercury and Sanama finally took place after a gap in the calendars of both teams aligned itself for the first time since the fixture was originally scheduled. Mercury came into the game off the back of a nervy qualifying campaign, which only saw them reach the finals on the last day, whereas Sanama's plane tickets to Floria were booked with a game to spare, with a comfortable win against the Sovereign Confederation rounding things off.
The game started slowly, as both sides tried to eke out an advantage, but the cageyness took hold a bit too strongly, as neither side managed to muster a shot on target within the first half an hour. Sanama's first real opportunity saw Gjanluca Totti fizz the ball just inches wide of the target, while Mercury were off the mark from a Fizeau-Blake free kick and a Hanbury header from a corner. The first shot on goal came from a well-worked passage of play, with Koke Shuma feeding in Totti, whose curling effort was well saved at full stretch by Foster. A mix-up in defence after a Sanama corner ended up with the ball dropping to the feet of Francisco Moreira with an open goal, but he was unfortunate to mis-hit it as it skewed wide into the side netting.
Early in the second half, Sanama were finally able to make the breakthrough with Totti hammering home a sublime volley from Christopher Andretti's cross, a strike that unfortunately wouldn't be considered for Goal of the Tournament although would certainly be a worthy contender. Mercury's reply came in equally emphatic fashion, with an acrobatic effort from Foxon beating Hammonds at the near post. Just five minutes later, Mercury took the lead, as Hanbury held off a strong challenge from Danilo Llai before rolling the ball into the bottom-right corner, with Llai finding his way into the referee's book for his troubles. The third came as quickly as the second, with Sanama's defence being caught off guard by a couple of quick passes from Mercury's midfield, leaving Fitzgerald with a simple one-on-one finish to extend the advantage. It was back to a one-goal game with around 10 minutes to spare, as Totti grabbed his second of the game, but Hanbury copied his idea and put the game to bed, finishing a beautiful counter-attacking move. Neither side have any further fixtures announced as yet, instead opting to wait for Friday's World Cup draw before choosing their next opponents.

49' - Totti
56' - Foxon
61' - Hanbury
65' - Fitzgerald
