Franklin Islands searching for new coach
The Franklin Islands have today announced that they are seeking an officially-appointed coach for the first time in their history. The appointed coach will be provided with accommodation in return for performing the role, and candidates must be able to travel to Tellia. Unfortunately the FIFA are unable to offer a salary for this voluntary position, however, the successful candidate will be welcome to perform a coaching role for a club team simultaneously.

Re: Franklin Islands searching for new coach
The Franklin Islands Football Association have appointed World Cup-winning Mercurian, Ryan Bishop, as their new manager. Bishop was forced into early retirement after suffering from a stroke in 2019, although he was able to make an appearance in the dying stages of May Wanderers' 2020 EMUFA Cup victory, scoring in the penalty shoot-out. Bishop hopes to bring his wealth of experience into the role, saying that he "relishes the opportunity to try and help this team get a first win on the board". Bishop has enlisted the support of a TV producer, that wishes to make a documentary following his tenure as manager.

Franklins to play Hazarese Taka'atui
Ryan Bishop's first game as Franklin Islands manager will be a friendly against fellow WMFA minnows, Hazarese Taka'atui, simultaneous to the FMF World Cup final. The 52-strong archipelago's national side has been under the stewardship of former-World Cup winner Bishop for two months now, in which time, they have developed a strict training regime. With Bishop undertaking the role on a voluntary basis, he has also enlisted a TV producer to record his journey as manager, with his show How to Win a Football Match due to air immediately prior to the World Cup final, with the first episode documenting the early stages of his tenure.

Franklin Islands to play Lusa before Ocean Premier League season
The Franklin Islands have announced another friendly against fellow Ocean Premier League nation Lusa. The islands lost 5-1 to Hazarese Taka'atui last time out, but head coach Ryan Bishop said he has a "secret ace up his sleeve" for the upcoming fixture.

Franklin Islands 1–6 Lusa
84-year old makes Franklin Islands debut in Lusa defeat
The Franklin Islands were convincingly beaten by fellow Ocean Premier League member nation Lusa, as new head coach Ryan Bishop's reign entered its second game. Lusa took the lead early on, and never really looked like being pegged back in the first half, leading 4-0 at the break. They added a fifth goal midway into the second half, however the Franklins were able to pull one goal back before Lusa completed the scoring five minutes from time. However, that was not the end of proceedings, as Bishop brought on 84-year-old Flavio Morgan, grandson of a former Franklin Islander, John Morgan, who went missing whilst on a fishing trip in 1897, and was believed to have died at the time. He was traced back to have been rescued off the coast of Tellia, and unable to find a way back to the islands, started a new life on Benacia. Morgan passed away in 1921, and Flavio Morgan is his only surviving grandchild, and therefore the only living person outside of the islands eligible to play for the team. Morgan's grandson, Gioberto Morgan is currently registered as an academy prospect at Savona ASC, and Bishop is now seeking clarification from the FMF as to whether he would now be eligible to play for the Franklin Islands side, but if successful, Gioberto Morgan could potentially become the second ever non-native player for the side.
