Gertsa placed under investigation following defeat
Senyan Third League leaders Gertsa FK have been put under investigation by FADESS after losing their Thursday night game away against mid-table Sotringham Rovers 5-0. The result came as Gertsa were scheduled to play two games in the midweek, having beaten Eastern Mountain Glacier 2-0 on Tuesday in the Senyan League Trophy. Gertsa, who had refused demands from fans to move the game to next week during the busy International matchday also refused to refund their 1,200 travelling fans who made the trip tonight, who had assumed they would give a good account of themselves in what is turning into a tight title race.
Furthermore, Volderdash and Nordkamp, who fell behind Sotringham in the table as a result, lodged an official complaint with FADESS about Gertsa's behaviour, with Dragon Hall United and Walderminster both writing to FADESS to press for answers.
Gertsa rebuked accusations of wrong doing by stating that they merely fulfilled a fixture with the players they had available and had little option to do anything else, though FADESS have maintained they did ask both clubs for a postponement.
Gertsa made 11 changes from their win over EMG, playing many fringe and youth team players, but they couldn't cope with a Sotringham side aiming to keep their fading dreams of a play-off spot alive. Despite only being 1-0 down at the break, the experienced Sotringham side broke down their high flying opponents in the second period.

Re: Gertsa placed under investigation following defeat
Following an investigation into the match between Gertsa and Sotringham Rovers, it has been determined by FADESS that the Senyan League is responsible for the scheduling of the fixture and as a result no punishment will be given to Gertsa FK.
