Taeland 1-1 Ocia
Ocia earned a point in a tight encounter to keep them within touching distance of a top-three finish with one match remaining. Tim Turner put the Taes ahead, his second goal is as many games, with a calm and collected goal one-on-one with the 'keeper after nutmegging Andreas Cipot to run clear. Ocia dug-in hard though and deserved their goal fifteen minutes later, as Klemen Lvrč headed in Niko Jeglič's whipped cross unmarked from the centre of the area.

71' - K. Lvrč
Craitland 2-0 Nova English Korea
A solid victory over tough opposition put Craitland back in the driving seat after losing to Interland in the previous game. A goal either side of the break settled the game; Tommy Hjansen volleyed in Tiem P. Jones' deep corner from eight yards after 35 minutes. Provider turned scorer with just over ten minutes left to put the match beyond doubt as the winger scored only his second international goal thanks to a deflected free-kick from twenty yards which managed to fly just past the arm of Tae Nam-Koong and in.
36' - T. Hjansen
78' - T.P. Jones
Flatland 0-0 Interland
Interland's impressive win over world champions Craitland clearly took its toll on the players as they could only stumble to a 0-0 draw with lowly Flatland. Flatland, who have still yet to score a single goal in four games now managed to hold-on for a point despite yet again not troubling the opposition's 'keeper. The best chance of the game fell to in-form forward Marian Wyzywan, but the striker's tight-angled effort could only rebound into the side netting off the outside of the post.

Valencia 1-2 Passas
Valencia's first goal of the tournament wasn't enough to keep Passas at bay as the two-time holders clawed their way closer to the top of the group. The Valencians went ahead within the first quarter of the match; the experienced Juninho Santos tapping-in from the six-yard box after Santiago Javier's free-kick was deflected downward off the wall straight to the midfielder. Passas equalised through Łukasz Dąbrowski's well-timed effort with the last kick of the first half. The Cherry Trees striker got lucky after Gonzalo Reveillière's attempted slide tackle just helped Dąbrowski on his way to goal and he finished well into the top corner. James Stewart sealed the win for Passas midway through the second half by walking the ball into the net after Thomas Ellsworth's corner fell straight to him with the back post uncovered.
22' - Juninho Santos
45' - Ł. Dąbrowski
69' - J. Stewart
Hamland 0-1 Nova England
A late, late finish from striker Ka'an Peterson caused somewhat of an upset as odds-on favourites Hamland dropped points for the first time in the tournament. Although Hamland still had their attacking flair and creativity, their attempts at goal were met by an inspired Paul Larkin in the Nova English goal. The AFC Heartpool stopper's saves kept his country in the game and were made even more important as Peterson volleyed a sublime winner in stoppage time to snatch the win. Captain Marcus Downs' corner was headed up in the air by Jonathan O'Hara but Peterson was first to meet it on its way down, hit the ball first time from the edge of the area and it swerved into the opposite top corner as Lewis Macalter could only stand a stare.
90' - K. Peterson
Mercury 0-0 Normark
Mercury's second ever goalless draw followed their first as fellow underdogs Normark struggled to their first point of the group. Terje Møkjåland, who scored in the loss to Hamland, had an effort that was tipped onto to bar in the first half, but other than that, both teams were lacklustre over the ninety minutes and a 0-0 was only really going to ever be the likely outcome between the two EMU Championships début nations.

If there were Micras football pools, you could count on Mercury to draw EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. We've drawn 10 out of our 20 matches over our short history.

Interland 2-2 Taeland
Interland's late push for a place in the final took a turn for the worse as Taeland came-back from two goals down to earn a draw. Two goals in the first half for Marian Wyzywan took the forward's tally for the tournament to four. The opener was a simple back-post header from Dariusz Drzewny's corner, with the second coming from a slick turn-and-shot move after he received the ball from Jerzy Golański inside the area. However, after the break, Tim Turner got the second brace of the game in quick succession. After lobbing the 'keeper from the edge of the box after being played through one-on-one, the AC Zimia striker reacted first to Jan Kepp's poor clearance and outpaced the 'keeper before slotting into an empty net to level the match and dash Interland's chances of a place in the final.

Nova English Korea 1-0 Flatland
Lee Hong-Jo's well-placed free-kick was enough to give Nova English Korea the win over a Flatland team that has improved significantly throughout the tournament but still couldn't muster a goal. The Cherry Trees wing-back curled the ball in spectacularly after Seol Tae-Ki was fouled on the edge of the "D".
63' - Lee H.J.
Ocia 0-0 Craitland
An uninspiring goalless draw was enough to see Craitland through to the EMU '11 final, although their display will hopefully not be a foreshadowing of what's to come. The Craits' best opportunity fell to midfielder Hjaņ Herä, who overtook Yaqin Senovichi as Craitland's most-capped player with this appearance, but his shot from a tight angle could only find the side netting of the Ocian goal.

Normark 1-1 Valencia
Jesús Castillón's early opener wasn't enough to beat Normark as the northern Keltians faught back to gain their second point of the championships in their last game. Castillón put Valencia in front within five minutes of the kick-off; his first-time finish from the edge of the area was hit well enough to beat Didrik Malerbakken with a low bounce down to his left. However, Fridtjof Jarlsen, starting his first game of the tournament, equalised a minute before the break with a clever volley inside the box. The Ekeräs forward's inventive readjustment lined him up perfectly to loop the ball over Daniel Palazio right hand as he dived to his left to try and save it.
4' - J. Castillón
44' - F. Jarlsen
Nova England 0-0 Mercury
Mercury's knack of goalless draws made its third appearance in a row as the youngsters managed to keep Nova England at bay all game. Ka'an Peterson hit the Mercurian woodwork twice in the second half; clipping both the crossbar and post with long-distance efforts, but other than that, no other clear-cut chances fell to either team as Mercury managed an impressive three consecutive clean sheets in their first EMU Championships.
Passas 0-2 Hamland
Two-time winners Passas could only watch as Hamland overpowered them to keep them out of a third successive EMU final. Both Hammish goals came in the second half, with Craitish-based strikers Andrew Miller and Jamie Mearns getting a goal each. Miller got the first, thanks to an athletic leap above the Passasian defence to nod-in Ronald Brown's early cross, with Mearns' finish coming ten minutes later as he finished-off a good move with a one-two with Miller and a sweeped shot past Marcus East, sealing Hamland's place in the final in Cherry Trees.
69' - A. Miller
78' - J. Mearns

Can Mercury play a friendly with Taeland, as an unofficial 7th place match, in any Craitland stadium?

Re: EMU '11
We'd have to have Duke J's permission to do that, but I'd be fine with simulating it. Although it might end-up being 0-0

Re: EMU '11
Speaking of 0-0, I was refereeing a 7-a-side tournament today, and most of my games finished 0-0!
My last game of the day was an Under 15s semi final, finished 0-0, went to penalties. First penalty scored. Second penalty, this is where the fun begins XD
Shot taken, keeper saves it, but 5 yards off his line, I order a retake. Shot taken, same happens again. The keeper gets angry and start mouthing off at me, so I send him off. The manager called over the tournament director, after 15 minutes of arguing, and it was confirmed that I made the right decision! In the end, that keeper's team won.

If only more refs were stricter on 'keepers coming off the line during penalties in the professional game, eh?

Interland 2-1 Nova England
A terrific late turn-around in a very enjoyable match sealed Interland's best-ever finish in an FMF tournament going into their World Cup campaign next month. 2009 World Cup runners-up Nova England took less than half an hour to open the scoring; Ka'an Peterson's third goal of the championships breaking the deadlock after the AFC Heartpool forward knocked in the rebound from Callum Sorrel's long-distance shot after Jan Kepp could only parry the ball straight to him eight yards out. Nova England were the dominant force throughout the first half and start of the second, but the closest they could get to doubling their lead was Sorrel curling a shot against the outside of Kepp's left-hand post from the edge of the area with a clever half-volley. However, the victory was Interland's to snatch, with Marcin Orwolski levelling from the spot after Marian Wyzywan had been grounded by Joseph Slatter. The centre-back was given his marching orders for his wrecklessness and Wyzywan was substituted as a precaution. Jerzy Golański, Wyzywan's replacement, got the winner. Only one minute before time, eight after Orwolski's penalty, the striker was played through by Dariusz Drzewny's lobbed through ball and was able to finish first-time past Paul Larkin with a side-foot which slipped the ball under the stopper's right arm and into the gaping net. Nova England were stunned after bossing the majority of the game, but a lack of taking their chances led to Interland claiming their best ever tournament position.

Re: EMU '11
I'm really surprised the scoreline was that large! Still, that's our first EMU title, so we don't have to win the World Cup this year
