Confederational Tournament Hosting
With the inclusion of the confederational championships for the AEFA (Copa Apollonia) and the WMFA (Benacia Cup) to this year's international schedule, as well as the news that the EMU Championships will become an annual event, the FMF has decided to begin the bidding processes relating to these tournaments.
All three tournaments will be held between mid-June and mid-July, with their competitors qualifying via this year's FMF World Cup qualification tournaments; a decision made in light of the success of the EMU's using the same system last year.
The Copa Apollonia is a new tournament which will involve ten teams from the AEFA confederation. The top two finishers in each group will qualify to compete, alongside Antica and the hosts. Those nations wanting to host this tournament must be aligned to the AEFA and name a minimum of four stadiums to be used for the tournament. The host's national team will be granted an automatic place in the tournament.
The EMU Championships, normally referred to as the EMU's, are the third oldest FMF-affiliated tournament, beginning in 2007. Previously held every two years, 2012 is the first in what is intended to make these championships an annual event. There will be twelve teams competing; with the top two highest-placed teams in the five EMUFA qualifying groups being involved, as well as the hosts and Craitland. Nations wishing to host this tournament must have a minimum of six stadiums and be EMUFA members.
The Benacia Cup is a long-overdue tournament for WMFA nations. As the WMFA is only a small confederation, membership-wise, there will be only six teams competing in this inaugural championships, with the top three teams from both qualifying groups reaching the tournament. Whether the host's national team is one of those competing in the tournament is a matter that will be decided once the final standings have been decided. Interested WMFA nations will only need a minimum of three named stadiums to be considered for hosting the Benacia Cup.
I'll leave the bidding open for as long as it takes to build-up some interest, and I shall also directly contact nations who have shown interest in hosting tournaments before to get the ball rolling. If you're interested in hosting one of these tournaments but aren't sure of which confederation you're in, check the wiki article for this year's qualifying to see!
Interested nations should fill this form in and post it below to be considered for hosting:

Re: Confederational Tournament Hosting
Thanks for your bid. However, you'll need three named stadiums to be able to host the Benacia Cup
Re: Confederational Tournament Hosting
First, the stadion will be bigger with more seats.
Zeeburg includes only 1 city, we can build 2 stadions but 3 is too much.

Re: Confederational Tournament Hosting
I think we should be able to work with two stadiums for the tournament really. I can just change the format I had planned, which would probably make things easier actually

You could put in a joint bid with two stadiums each?

Re: Confederational Tournament Hosting
As qualifying is now over for all but the WMFA, I'm going to close bidding for both the Copa Apollonia and the EMU's! No more bids from AEFA- or EMUFA-affiliated nations please

Re: Confederational Tournament Hosting
Congratulations to Mercury and North Antarctica for winning their bidding to host the 2012 EMU Championships and the 2012 Copa Apollonia, respectively! We wish them the best of luck and look forward to two inevitably fantastic tournaments later this year!
