by Senya
Lamantia hosted Senya in Kolgrad as the two sides met for the first time since Fort Kolgrad's name change two years ago. Lamantia had never beaten Senya, but infront of a fervent home crowd, and still on the high of qualifying for their first ever World Cup, the Gelb-Blau began the game strongly, with King's Lynn Town's Reuben Frederiksen forcing Aleksarnder Pitka into early action, tipping over from a spectacular half volley. Senya though, as usual, weren't going to just lie down, and Barnaby Hands forced Marcel Amsel into a save just moments later, having cut inside on his right foot and gone for the bottom corner.

A breakthrough couldn't be found in the opening period, but the second sparked into life when Michi Schniester's cross was blocked by the arm of Hands, but Sven Ebersbacher scuffed his penalty wide of the target. That was the cue for Senya to take the game by the scruff of the neck, and they took the lead on the hour mark, with a through ball finding Alesandrœ Danetskë, who raced onto it before slotting past the onrushing Amsel. Lamantia though weren't making it easy, but Benjamin Schaefer felled Jan Maytek outside the box, Hands's free-kick found the head of Markœ Minyorletsken, who powered his header in at the back post. In the end, it was a positive performance for both teams, Lamantia managing to hold their own against one of Micras' top teams, whilst for Senya, the well oiled machine looks like its in place, as both sides look to announce their preliminary squads shortly.
