Craitland vs. Lakkvia friendly (19/06)
*Played 19th June*
Craitland 4-0 Lakkvia
6' - H. Zensen
22' - J.M. Juliaĵsen
36' - J.M. Juliaĵsen
74' - M. Densar
Craitland returned to winning ways after defeat to Alduria with a comfortable victory over Lakkvia. Three first-half goals put the result beyond doubt as the Craits aim to decide their final 23-man squad before their next match against Tellia. Midfielder Hänä Zensen scored in successive matches with a calm sidefooted finish after being put through in space within the first ten minutes before Mercury-based striker Jan-Morteņ Juliaĵsen hit a brace. The 25-year-old's first was fortunate, with the ball being gifted after the 'keeper palmed Zen Daviddlaw's shot back to him for a simple finish, while the second was much more impressive. A move forward led to David Loresen gaining possession deep on the left before chipping a cross in, where Juliaĵsen hit it first time on the swivel and laced the volley into the goalie's top-left corner with his weaker left foot from the edge of the box.
Lacklustre Lakkvia evidenced why they struggled in qualifying this spring, with little to offer as a retort to going three goals down, and had no resistance to Craitland's fourth in the second half. Mikel Densar, coming off the bench to replace Perryman, struck his first international goal with a darting run and teasing finish that slotted over the line following a one-on-one with the 'keeper as Ketil av Silmahamnum was unable to get back quick enough to stop the shot. That score secured a four-goal win for a Craitland side looking at a very tricky group in Birgeshir next month, with momentum now potentially in their favour again.
