Birgeshir vs. Freeland friendly (29/06)
*Played 29th June*
Birgeshir 1-0 Freeland
85' - S. Lahar
A frustrated Birgeshir left it late to beat Freeland in their last warm-up, with Sarapou Lahar scoring once more. Freeland performed well against the World Cup hosts, showing their qualification via the play-offs was no fluke; their defence which only conceded a goal every other game stood firm against a strong Birgesh front line for the majority of the ninety. Only at the death was the chink in their armour found; Çengiz Tahir's bullishness saw off a challenge from Marcin Markowski before a lay back to Lahar saw the striker nick in ahead of captain Jakub Baran to toe-poke home with killer instinct.
The result stretches Birgeshir's winning run and shows they can win games scruffily, while the Freelanders can certainly take some positives ahead of their first senior tournament with a potentially very open group awaiting them.

Re: Birgeshir vs. Freeland friendly (29/06)
hats off Freeland! I agree that their defence in not bad considering the front three they were dealing with. If they had a more aggressive counter attack they could have drawn or even won this game
Also,I'm pleased to know that Sarapou Lahar is playing good after showing to be worthy of the national team this B-lig season.
