Re: January 2020 friendlies
I believe.. Craitman handles our football affairs. But he might have stopped doing that years ago.

I still do when I can, but you're okay to organise friendlies too, especially if they fit in with a trend of thawing frosty relations with a neighbour!

Florian Republic 2-2 Craitland
12' - L. Jonmikeltsen
37' - S. Butcher
72' - B. Gray
78' - İ. Keremov
The new decade began with a visit for the Benacia Cup holders Craitland to Copa Apollonia challengers the Florian Republic. With both teams having been eliminated in the World Cup quarter-finals in Birgeshir last summer, and with only five ranking places between them, a winner was too close to call. And that's also how it played out on the pitch, with a draw being the final result.
After taking an early lead through Lydveldt Jonmikeltsen, whose well-timed run beat the Florians' offside attempt to allow a cool finish one-on-one, Craitland were outplayed by an organised Florian team that continues to improve. The Craitish defence almost held their lead into the break but conceded later in the half; a corner delivered from the right was attacked brutally by the forehead of Sam Butcher, whose finish from six yards out crashed into the net.
The Florians were marginally the better side after the break, though chances were at a premium until the final twenty minutes when the hosts went ahead. Butcher was again involved, as his hold-up play created a gap for midfielder Brandon Gray to overlap, and a deceptive touch inside took Gray past Ben Hjyngmost and allowed him a potshot at the 'keeper, which found the back of the net. The match's second equaliser wasn't far behind, however, and two débutant substitutes were on hand to create it for the Craits. This season's surprise package Róndlinga Diamonds' Morteņ Herä found his domestic teammate Jan Tórsen with a floated cross-field ball, and the striker's first international touch was a cushioned header back across the box into the path of İlker Keremov, who was on hand to smash home for his third Craitish goal.
A draw will favour Craitland slightly more, having avoided a loss in their first match since the retirements of a number of key players, though a result against a higher-rated team will benefit the Florians too. Both sides' next action is in three weeks' time; the Florian Republic taking-on Freeland in the AEEU Nations Cup final and Craitland hosting Lostisland for their first ever meeting in Kealb.

Craitland 2-0 Lostisland
28' - D. Medvekhov (o.g.)
89' - Dräsen I.
Craitland worked their way past Lostisland in Kealb, in their final pre-Confederations Cup friendly, thanks to an own goal. With a much-changed line-up from the draw in the Florian Republic three weeks ago, the Craits were met with a strong resistance from the Lostislanders, who some are tipping as dark horses to reach a first EMU finals this summer.
That resistance was broken just before the half-hour when defender Dmitry Medvekhov turned into his own net in a crowded box. Alexis Pellegrino's low delivery was met by Will Zóma's sidefoot across the face of goal, where Medvekhov's attempt to track back saw him deflect the ball over the line before he could clear it. Lostisland's best chance came before the break, with Kostya Lukyanenko's long-range shot being tipped over the bar by Vallensen, but the game was otherwise in Craitland's control. A late Dräsen strike was enough to ultimately flatter, with the in-form forward arriving late at the back post to hit past the 'keeper from Sverige teammate Jamie Mälent's lobbed pass.
Lostisland lose but aren't humiliated, but with sterner tests to come for Craitland on their Confederations Cup début, with the top three-rated teams to face both home and away, this won't be the most convincing display for their manager.

Unified Governorates 1-2 Tiana
18' - H. Forester
54' - V. D'Aquila
73' - M. Barnetta
A Tianan turnaround in the second half gave them a win in Merensk, as the narrow loss result matched that of the Unified Governorates' largest defeat. The home team went ahead early on through a Harold Forester header from Royston IV Merrick's delivery, though Tiana were on top in the first half with more chances created. Those chances culminated in an equaliser soon after the restart; Vincenzo D'Aquila ran through after a long ball forward from stopper Michael Roger and beat the home 'keeper with a poked finish. The comeback was completed twenty minutes later from a set piece, with Tiana delivering a corner which was poorly cleared by Walter Wesserfall, allowing defender Milan Barnetta the opportunity to strike from outside the area and into the bottom-left corner.
A win will boost the Tianans going into a tricky qualifying group as they look to reach a first finals tournament since EMU 2013, though the UGB's loss won't dampen their spirits too much having registered good Vulture Cup performances against two of their upcoming group opponents last year.

Jingdao 0-1 Senya
27' A. Danetskë
Senya won their first game since becoming World Champions by defeating neighbours Jingdao 1-0 in their first trip to Daocheng. An excited crowd saw the hosts battle well during the early exchanges, but a swift counter-attacking move saw Alesandrœ Danetskë cooly slot beneath the legs of an onrushing Noel Zidikit after leaving Ong Yimsun flatfooted. Jingdao though didn't allow themselves to be completely outplayed and defended resolutely, whilst creating some very good chances of their own, with Li Dongzhua being denied by the post after he found some space on the edge of the box, before Vladimër Ƨöčer did well to block a Xiao Hoang effort on the line to keep his side in the lead as Senya held on for the victory.
Re: January 2020 friendlies
Juclandia 1-2 Raspur
31' G. Sassavian
62' A. Esho Hanna
87' G. Vuk
Raspur pulled off an impressive win away in Juclandia ahead of their latest push towards continental qualification. After a flat first half hour, AFC Hamstadt defender Gewarkis Sassavian rose highest in the box to meet a corner with his head and knock his side infront. In the second period, Ammanoel Esho Hanna's long range effort flew into the top corner with the help of a slight deflection, with Goran Vuk's late reply being a mere consolation in return.
