Bidding to host the 2023 FMF World Cup
With the 2022-23 season well underway, and the end of the year fast approaching, it is time for us to begin the process of bidding for the rights to host the FMF World Cup!
The 2023 edition will follow the same format as the past few tournaments, and therefore will be competed for by twenty teams. In keeping with tradition, the confederation that hosted the previous edition, 2021's, is not permitted to host the 2023 World Cup. That means no nations affiliated to the AEFA can host, but any nations from the CTFA, EMUFA and WMFA may submit bids. Joint bids are permitted and will be considered.
The bidding process will run from now until the 30th of November (giving those interested six weeks to compile and submit their bids), and bidding nations should fill-out the following form here:
Good luck; we look forward to seeing your bids!

Why do you think you deserve to host the world cup?: Sanpantul has been changed hands by nations over the years, thus bringing international sports to the Skerry Isles. The Skerry Isles once had a football team, which dynamized the competition of the peoples in sports. West Sandwich Island is a small island in the Skerry Isles with an area of 19,000 square kilometers. Sanpantul is a populous country located on this island and was founded about three years ago. Sanpantul showed great interest in sports in every period of his life, and even hosted many tournaments. The 2020 EMU Championships are the most well-known. Sanpanese people show a strong interest in football, as well as indulge in traditional sports. We have enough stadiums in Sanpantul and we have recommended at least one stadium in each region, so that all parts of Sanpantul will be visited. It's also home to Sanpantul Kuhama Mountain and Naie National Park (don't worry, the walls are safe enough to protect the public) and more. We believe Sanpantul is the best venue for the 2023 FMF World Cup!

Why do you think you deserve to host the World Cup?: Mercury is a long-standing FMF member, with one World Cup title under their belt and two other final appearances, as well as a joint-record three EMU Championships titles. Mercury's extensive league structure has provided the backdrop to a consistently high standard of performance on the international stage. Having never before hosted the World Cup, Mercury's 15th anniversary would provide the ideal opportunity to bring the footballing elite to a passionate audience. As with our previous bids to host other competitions, supporters with valid match tickets will be offered free travel to and from the match, and taxes on food and drink will be suspended for the duration of the World Cup, to allow the competition to be accessible to fans from all economic backgrounds. Two of our largest stadiums will undergo significant expansion if the World Cup is awarded to Mercury, with a government-subsidised guarantee of at least 50% of the newly-added seats being available for a price of Cr 20 or lower. The goal of this bid is to bring football to its biggest and most diverse audience to date, and cement the idea that this sport is for absolutely everyone!

Government: Crowned Confederal Republic
Number of Leagues: Four, including the Six Nations League
Number of Teams in Premier Division: 16 teams in the Six Nations League post-reform
Why do you think you deserve to host the world cup?:
The Hexarchy is a newer member of the FMF than other nations, but we have had a successful run, with appearances in the group stage of World Cup and landing third place on the EMU Championships in our very first appearances to both. The Hexarchy is a modestly sized and younger nation, but it offers incredible diversity in peoples, flora, fauna, geology, and more. Our many peoples offer much talent and culture to the world. Our ceaselessly modernizing country includes new and constantly improving infrastructure, stable trade routes, and an endless variety of experiences for any type of tourist or expatriate coming to our great land. Our rapidly stabilizing country is at peace, yet sports endless wildernesses outside of our thriving, diverse urban centers for even the most avid thrill seekers. Our country is filled with many contradictions, but this is what lends to our ability to successfully host the 2023 FMF World Cup.
We have chosen a list of many of our finest stadiums in our largest and most cosmopolitan cities to give guests the full experience offered by the Hexarchy. Ranging from outdoor stadiums in the tropical paradises of Eridu to indoor stadiums in arctic Lysstyrer to the ancient cultural centers of Karnak, we offer a variety of very large, state-of-the-art stadiums to accommodate audiences of all predispositions. The Praetor has personally offered much our of the nation's coffers (as well as his own) to ensure that every seat of the stadium is affordable, all in line with the considerably low cost of living in the nation. One of our national priorities is to bring all the cultural benefits of Hexarchian life to the world. Should it be chosen to receive the great honor to host the World Cup, visas will be issued on arrival (if not waived outright) for persons hailing from participating countries, and greatly expedited for all others who have purchased tickets.

Re: Bidding to host the 2023 FMF World Cup
The FMF Executive Committee has met and voted, and a majority decision has been reached. We are excited to announce that MERCURY will host the 2023 FMF World Cup!
Congratulations to the Mercurians, whose bid, coupled with the nation's notable footballing history, was highly popular with the voting Executives. Commiserations to The Hexarchy and Sanpantul, who were unfortunate to miss-out on the rights to host the tournament; their respective bids impressed the Committee and we would highly recommend that they maintain their hosting interest into the following year's cycle where the 2024 EMU Championships would be a potential staging.
We trust that Mercury will welcome the people of Micras on the year of their 15th anniversary for the 14th edition of the FMF World Cup with their renowned hospitality, infrastructure and passion. Its national team will receive an automatic spot in the finals, as per tradition, alongside holders Floria. The rest of Micras' eyes will now fall upon the organisation of the qualifying competitions in roughly a month's time to whittle-down the 18 teams that will join them.
See you in Mercury!
