Passas 3-2 New South Vietnam
Passas had to fend off a late comeback challenge by NSV as they proceed into the semi finals for their second time in history.
Passas got off to the better start, with shots coming in and constant work throughout the Passasean midfield, however New South Vietnamese captain and keeper Duong Van Minh was denying them the chance to take the lead after being kept on his toes for most of the 90 minutes. Meanwhile New South Vietnamese breaks were almost going somewhere however solid Passasean defence meant the move kept breaking down in the final third of the match.
Lukasz Dabrowski missed a golden chance 30 minutes into the game after breaking free to come one on one with the goalkeeper, only to shoot wide into the side netting, leaving both sides to go in 0-0 at half time. However the second half shows a turnaround. After constant attacks from Passas, Dabrowski redeemed himself, getting the ball from Verkslamp onside before hitting it beyond the keeper's reach into the bottom right corner.
And the second goal came not long after as Philipp Sherman turned both his markers to blast it home and Passas thought they were comfortably through. However Passas went into settle down mode and NSV took the opportunity to seize it as 3 minutes from time, Luu Cong Minh put NSV back into the game, with Ho H.A netting one in soon after.
However Dabrowski managed to save the day after making a quick break from kick off, sliding the ball pass Duong Van Minh again in a similar fashion to his first goal. Passas managed to hold on right at the end, with Hurtado clearing the ball anywhere, conceding two corners. Even the keeper came up and almost scored, however solid defending from Oscar Hurtado and Isaac King in the centre saved Passas' day as they proceed, crashing NSV out.
Amokolia 3-4 Alexandria
Amokolia will be almost kicking themselves after the host were robbed right at the end after a below-par performance by Alexandria.
Amokolia pegged straight away to the shock of the Alexandrians as quick passing going forward and poor marking from Cyril Kopaczewski allowed Seseln Kilmast to run straight past to slot one in pass Alex von Heil. Florent Lassana-Traoré almost got Alexandria back on level terms after skillfully turning and unleashing a shot from a throwin, only to be parried away by goalkeeper Johannes von Braun.
Straight after, the Amokolians were keeping Alexandrians on their toes, denying Les Bleus who were coincidentally playing in white a chance to attack through their inspiratiional captain Sebastien Focán with their man-marking tactic. However Focán forced a mistake which lead to Lassana robbing the ball in front of Ole Kraft to strike it past the keeper with power. Seseln Kilmast bounced back immediately, running around the defence before calmly sliding it pass von Heil for the seond time.
At the end of the first half, Alexandria were left with fans on the verge of walking away, going 2-1 down where the defence was needed to be much better. And Amokolia almost went 3-1 up just a few minutes into the second half as Otto von Gutenburg knocked the ball past 3 with time and space before losing his cool by rocketing the ball into a side netting - very unusual as his scoring has been good so far.
And it proved costly as Alexandria pulled it level again shortly afterwards, Focán finding Lassana-Traoré who muscled his way past the defence, blasting the ball into the top corner. And just more than 20 minutes before the whistle, Teenage superstar Tamer Modrem showed his worth, setting up Florent Lassana-Traoré to claim his hat-trick, von Braun unable to deal with a shot - letting the ball go in from the crossbar. 2 minutes later, Amokolia countered the move, bringing it back level with Endymion passing the ball to Kilmast, who also claimed his hat-trick by blasting it into the top corner.
But it ain't all over until the fat lady sings - and Tamer Modrem proved that. The Crécy born playmaker prevented the game going into extra time, cutting inside to unleash a left footed shot to send Alexandria through on the last minute of the game.
So the first semi-final, it's both Passas v Alexandria, and looking at both performances - none of them are performing up to their standard so the game is all open. Will Dabrowski shine? or would it be Lassana? What about the two similar captains? And the foreign contingent? Hurtado is part Alexandrian, and Le Louviere and D'Oliviera both were born in Passas? It's a major clash, don't miss out!

Cräiteland v Hamland
After a very shaky start to the campaign, current world champions Cräiteland made a steady recovery to book their way into the quarter-finals, facing world cup newcomers Hamland.
The second of the EMUFA clashes, Cräiteland remain the strong favourites however Hamland still remain the dark horse in the tournament. After winning all 10 of their qualification matches, Hamland expected a strong run into a world cup however after being brought down to Earth by Bobalania, tactics changed for the better to see Hamland making it to reach their first quarter final in their first ever World Cup appearance.
The team who will playing in white will be dependant on Jules Scott and George Johnson, who both link the forward and the midfield together. However Ben Craig still remains a big part of the team. The captain made sure the Hammish didn't lose hope after suffering their first defeat in 10 games to Bobalania.
However, in comparison to Hamland, by looking at Cräiteland's teamsheet, they are going to have a runaround tomorrow at the Parisia Field. Manta Pellegrino is the one that stands out as captain, after influencing his side to a World Cup victory a year ago. However the main threat will remain as Freddie Gaärsen. The quick striker will always be looking to add something to the Craitish side, especially his pace when it's needed, however Hamland also better look out on the wings as well as on the left Markko Edmildón, who is improving match after match. If the pace doesn't work, then the wingers will be dependant on to swing the crosses into Hanast Pellegrino, the towering target man will also be part of the attacking options.
Whatever the case, we're in for an exciting game.
Teams
Cräiteland - J Vorgensen (GK), JA Larsen, J Dehbo, J Hjansen, Manta P (capt), H Herä, Y Senovichi, T Vorgensen, M Edmildón, Hanast P, F Gaärsen
Hamland - R McLeod (GK), R Kartiksti, M Summers, G O'Malley, C MacIntyre, M Locksley, E Martin, J Scott, R Brown, G Johnson, B Craig (capt)

No matter what I'm sure one of these teams will be in the final. Hamland has been on fire, and Craitland always does.

If we weren't the reigning champions, people wouldn't suspect that we'd won
