Amokolia v Interland
Hosts Amokolia will kick off against the Republic of Interland. A young upcoming team, Interland will want to take the game and show off what it can do on the big stage. However, they will be in for a tough game and on home soil at the Parisia Stadium.
The Amokolians have home advantage, but will they use it?
Amokolia will be dependant Sesern Kilmast while Interland have got Jerzy Golánski on the opposite side of the front. Interland are well equipped on the stopping list with a reliable back 4, including Xaiville's Kryzystof Lukasz, the only foreign-based player on the Interland squad.
Teams
Amokolia (4-3-2-1): J von Braun, S Bjornsson, V Daschdund, O Kraft, W Harsch, M Rousille, D Sedard (capt.), G Allenson, O von Guttenburg, M Endymion, S Kilmast.
Interland (4-4-2): J Kepp (capt), L Ziebro, K Lukasz, H Diabel, A Anders, F Maskat, O Lapascz, D Drzewny, T Mostowny, J Golanski, M Wyzywan.
Passas v Stormark
Stormark make their first ever appearance in the World Cup, but have a tricky first task facing the vastly experienced Passas.
Despite the Passasean making only one world cup appearance to date, they have a very strong youth team and with the grassroots moving up into the senior side, Passas are building their reputation as a leading team in Micras.
Passas will be depending on the firing squad up front of Philipp Sherman and Interland-born Lukasz Dabrowski, who opted to play for his adopted homeland rather than his native homeland. Nick Verkslamp also must be mentioned as the veteran captain of Passas his the heartbeat to the team and his influence will be needed throughout the whole tournament if Passas are going to go far.
Stormark shouldn't be underestimated by any means, with most of their players playing in the Zandt League and the brand new revolutionary ASA Super 8. All the players fielded for tomorrows game are professionals. Tim Rainer will be increasingly important, the Joya City star will no doubtedly have to put the team straight against a very much tougher opponent. Meanwhile, Gustav Patreksson will not be starting the match, after being declared not fully fit.
Teams
Passas (4-1-2-1-2): M East, H Racckam, I King, O Hurtado, S Bonny, E van Heart, J Custis, J Nirimorf, N Verkslamp (capt.), P Sherman, L Dabrowski.
Stormark (4-4-2): R Mulkensson, A Laur, A Halko, M Jor, J Rasmussen, S Luudge, T Rainer (capt), E Wolfram, H Mathen, F Heidarsson, S Yngvesson.

Amokolia 3-2 Interland
A late Amokolian goal by Otto von Gutenburg was enough to sink the Interland's boat in the very first match of the FMF World Cup. In a buzzing 80,000 seat stadium in Parisia, the fans came in masses as a full house was watching, with most leaving home delighted.
Interland got the upper hand at the start quickly controlling the game, with Jerzy Golanski rushing to get the shots in. At the 6th minute, it looked almost certain that the striker would score, only to be denied by the crossbar. Golánski had a series of efforts, attempting to slide it past the keeper and lobbing it into the net - both going wide and high.
Without the confidence, Golanski had one shot on target, only to be denied by the goalkeeper von Braun, who only seemed to be blocking his face instead of saving the ball.
However Interland did get the upper hand, as 12 minutes in, Marian Wyzywan broke free of the defence to slot the ball in to give Interland the upper hand.
Amokolia attempted to respond rapidly, but with the solid defence of Lukasz, nothing was going near Jan Kepp. Interland doubled their lead shortly after Krzysztof Lukasz came forward from almost nowhere to fire home Interland's second.
The fans in Red were looking gloomy, however the Amokolians pegged back almost immediately as two quick fire doubles from Otto von Gutenburg and Gadard Allanson ensured that Amokolia and Interland went in 2 goals apiece at half-time and giving Amokolia a shout in the game.
In to the second half and no surprise was that Golanski was replaced by Mariusz Gazetowicz, however the striker never really settled as well. At the same time, Oskar Lapacz brought down Allanson in what could have been an Amokolian attacking chance, subsequently taking the first booking of the tournament.
Davey Sedard couldn't make the free kick advantage show from goal-touching distance however a late mistake by the Interland's defence allowed von Gutenburg to steal the ball and claim his second and fire Amokolia a victory, 6 minutes before the whistle.

Passas 3-1 Stomark
While Amokolia started in winning ways in Parisia, we turn to Champ Danish in the stadium dubbed as the "Inflatable Boat" with Passas v Stormark. Passas as expected came out on top and the guys in White and Red hoops are looking as a strong contender for the tournament already.
The game started off slowly, with both teams trying to feel each other out and just passing around to each other, however 20 minutes in, a long ball shocked the Passaseans as the ball was played all the way back to Ragnar Mulkensson to be booted to the other side of the pitch.
Sven Yngvarsson took the ball down, perfectly controlling before rocketing it pass Marcus East. The Passasean defence spent a moment staring at each other before kick off the game.
Stormark had 2 more shots before the half, being inspired to attack further and pushing Passas deeper with Tim Rainer hitting the woodwork after a long range effort, with a Fjalar Heidarsson follow up about to go towards the net when Oscar Hurtado put a foot in to block the shot.
Passas, shocked at half time needed amendments. But in the time of trouble, there comes a hero - Lukasz Dabrowski. The youngster, still just only about to turn 18 managed to steer Passas into the right direction, putting them back in the game after James Custis stole the ball off Andreas Laur and driving a cross low for the Striker to level the game.
The second came close after, with captain Nick Verkslamp on the ball, boxed and no room to create a chance just outside the box, deciding to backheel the ball for Dabrowski to launch a long-range effort from 28 yards, which was remarkably fumbled in by the goalkeeper.
Philipp Sherman secured the 3-1 victory afterwards by stealing the ball right at the end after a shambolic corner by Stormark to go on a unchallenged run to smash it home and send the goalkeeper the wrong way in the process.
