Cräiteland 3-0 Hamland - http://www.megavideo.com/?v=7BNPUDH5
Cräiteland soar through into the semi-finals with an impressive win over Hamland, however the Hammish will be kicking themselves after missing so many chances that could have made it an even match.
Cräiteland scored the first goal straight away after a range of short passes got the ball to the final third for Hanast Pellegrino to turn his marker and slide the ball across to Freddie Gaärsen who just opened his body to calmly slide it pass the goalkeeeper MacLeod.
Benjamin Craig had a chance to finish off a lovely move 5 minutes later, however right at the point of striking he was dispossessed by Jón Hjansen to go out for a corner. After wasting the corner, Hamland regained possession before Ben Craig sent a cross from the right channel to George Johnson, who should have equalised; his volley hitting the upright and nervously dealt with by Jim Dehbo, who could have scored an own goal if he wasn't lucky. However a second corner for Hamland was punched away by Jack Vorgensen.
Half way into the first half, a massive shout for a penalty by Craitish supporters was ringing out of the stands as Freddie Gaärsen was carelessly tripped by Charles MacIntyre outside the area. The referee's decision was to give a free kick. Jon Anders Larsen stepped up to take the free kick and almost scored, beating the keeper but hitting the upright - leaving Ronnie Brown and Markko Edmildón to chase. Shockingly, Cräiteland managed to get two up after Brown failed to clear it, hitting it to the post and letting it bounce into his own net.
Cräiteland were then in a mood to attack, and quite rightly so. They could have been 3, 4 or even 5 up but goalkeeper Rodney MacLeod vowed to keep Hamland fighting in the game after a series of magnificent saves to deny the Craitish attack anymore goals.
However into the second half, Hamland just fell. After Ronnie Brown attempt to redeem himself failed as he hit the post and out after finding space and Jules Scott's effort to put it in the net, Jack Vorgensen proved to be too much of a goalkeeper for the Hammish to beat. And using experience, Cräiteland sealed the game after Senovichi battled his way through the defence, causing them to make mistakes before putting one in to the back of the net, unchallenged at the goalline.
Hamland left distraught after a result that could have gone either way, but goes to Cräiteland, who will now have to eagerly anticipate who they will play at the SunBowl next week in the other semi-final.

Bobalania v Shireroth
It's the first world cup for both of these teams, and it's their first appearance. Quite an achievement eh? However this is a fight for a place in the semi final against Cräiteland and tomorrows game at the SunBowl will be a close one as both teams will want this more than anything.
Bobalania are making no changes from the group stages and have high hopes on their mentality switching counter-attacking style. With the likes of Mark Qwerty and LuÃs Liotta in midfield, they are hoping for a quick break with the finishing of Hyeland. Not to mention Matthew Bailey, who is regarded as one of the best upcoming keepers in Micras, who will be dependant on to deny Shireroth any chances.
Moving onto Shireroth, who are making 3 changes since their previous match. After a impressive 10 minute spell at the end of the match, Rudi Mathijsen will be given a chance to shine - giving the 19 year old his international debut. Martyn Toltenaki will also be given his debut after dropping Shaun Illnois in favour for the Grenstad midfielder. Jalal Akwa also returns to the starting lineup after 2 matches so the team should be raring to go.
However Shireroth will be dependant on their defence and the man between the sticks - Anders Bjornsson. The experienced shot stopper is much needed in the game to prevent the ball going behind and into the net. With the help of Nigel Robertson and Didinho and Santos Gomez, it seems a pretty easy task however Bobalania have a very quick and alert attacking play, which they will have to be alert about.
Like the last 3 matches, it seems we're going to be in for a great game.
Teams
Bobalania - M Bailey (GK), B Bobagota, F Farkle, B Bailey (capt), S Ayub, M Qwerty, L Liotta, L Bowie, R Turner, M Norman, S Hyeland
Shireroth - A Bjornsson (GK) (capt), N Santos-Gomez, N Robertson, E Didinho, T Svensson, R Mathijsen, M Toltenaki, L Johnson, T Player, C Simpson, J Akwa

That title definitely goes to Tokidoki 7-5 Taesong from last year. Only took 90 minutes to rack-up those goals too

It was Tokidoki back thenOroigawa Koreyasu wrote:And that Toketi-Taesong match was pure epicness.
And it was good for them because scoring that many goals meant they topped the final group table
