Bidding to host the 2013 FMF World Cup
Okay, we've reached that time of year again (well, not that we do it the same time every year ) when we begin the search for the next hosts of micronational football's biggest event!
With this summer's tournaments all over and domestic seasons raring to go, we have four months until qualifying kicks-off once again and there's no time like the present to start the long process of organising everything! Keeping with the FMF's rotation policy of different confederations hosting the tournament, this year's is eligible to be hosted by either a CTFA or an EMUFA nation. The CTFA last hosted in 2009 with Alexandria winning their home final, while Hamland were our last EMUFA hosts in 2010, finishing as losing finalists. Both Alexandria and Hamland are not permitted to enter bids following these two hostings.
The bidding process will run from now until the 31st of October (giving those interested three months to compile and submit their bids), and bidding nations should fill-out the following form here:
CTFA
Birgeshir
Gaston
Greater Sangun
Hammish Monovia
Monovia
Natopia
South Batavia
Treisenberg
Wadonstol
Zandarijn
EMUFA
Austbard
Craitland
Democratic Monovia
Høgmårk
Incontinentia
Indokistan
Interland
Juclandia
Los Bay Petros
Lostisland
Lurk
Mercury
New Vaduz
Normark
Nova England
Nova English Korea
Ocia
Passas
Schwanensee
Sirocco
Taeland
Tiana
Uantir
Valencia
New nations which claim land within the CTFA or EMUFA "catchment" areas before the cut-off date for bidding will also be allowed to submit bids to host, should they so wish. Any nations which are removed from Micras before the deadline will not be permitted to bid.
Good luck to all bidding nations and let's all look forward to another fantastic FMF World Cup in 2013!

PrinsArena (52,000), Prins Haven (ZND)
The King's Park (51,238), Geneva (HMO)
Grenstad Stadium (44,000) Grenstad (ZND)
HVA Stadium (41,500), Oudorp (ZND)

Why do you think you deserve to host the world cup?:
Zandarijn and Hammish Monovia may be small, but what we lack in size, we make-up in passion for football. Both being territories of two of the most successful nations in Micrasian football, we often live in the shadows of our parent nations. Hosting the 2013 FMF World Cup would allow us both to take the stage and show Micras what we can do by hosting a great tournament. We hope you feel our combined experience will be fitting to host such a prestigious event, which would leave a lasting legacy on our future generations!

Re: Bidding to host the 2013 FMF World Cup
Nation Name: Republic of Interland
Association: EMUFA
Number of Stadiums: 4 major ones, 4 to be finished soon or enlarged upon choice
Novograd Arena (58,000), Novograd
Niki National Arena (65,000), Niki
Abramovice FC Stadium (43,000), Abramovice
Gvezda National Stadium (40,900), Elbereth
* Kas:tel FC Arena (will be 45,600), Kas:tel *
* Rybakov Novoboisko (will be exactly 33,333), Rybakov *
* Edirnian Football Arena (22,200 with possible enlargement up to 32, maybe 33,000), Tassaret *
* Kern FC Stadium (12,000), Kern, Hurdania, currently with a large concrete and green square to allow expansion *
Additionally, one stadium can serve as an emergency stadium, that is
Virtua SAR Multiarena (37,000, although for a football event up to 42,000 seats are possible), Virtua
(*Asterisks around those under construction / to be under construction*)
Leader: President Pavel' Abramovic: (c: is a letter with ch phonetic value)
Government: Democratic Republic (not to be confused with People's Republic )
Number of Leagues: 1 is currently active and season starts on next Saturday. Might have time for second one.
Number of Teams in Premier Division: 4 until last season, with 4 more starting this year.
Why do you think you deserve to host the world cup?: We're a nation of long football traditions, and although we haven't recently shown conditions we had when we arrived 4th in WC, we're looking forward to opening our next season, when a lot of changes will be made, as was announced by IFA.
The infrastructure is pretty ready now (we could adapt athletic stadiums, which were already built - Government Program for Sports Education has put on multi-purpose buildings), but we're looking forward to spreading football not only on our school and club pitches, but also among our casual supporters, who usually ended up in front of TVs due to lack of tickets (these were sold out as soon as the ultras got to the booths).
We have nice transport system, and aren't as environmentally strict as Normark was, although when you have a fuelled car, you'll be expected to donate to one of our forest and wildlife protection funds. The trains and ferries are great facilities which allow to travel both fast and relatively cheap. Competition in the railways, as soon as the Government allowed private sector to use public rails (for a fee), drove the prices very low.
The hotels are commonly found, both in city centres and in the outskirts; if one wants to experience not only the match, we advise you to stay in one of 'agricultural lodgings', that is, cheap rooms for rent, found in villages not so far from the host cities, hosted by local farmers who might also show you round the neighbourhood - and if you want, what they do for a living
Interland is full of football enthusiasm, and a winning bid would cause an explosion of rapture among lovers of this sport. Expect the unexpected, including spontaneous bursts of joy and outrightness. And most of all - a really great sport event.
(This was meant to be brief. Blame my Slavic outpourings )

As we've had a few changes to the CTFA and EMUFA memberships of late, I've updated the list of who's eligible to bid here

Re: Bidding to host the 2013 FMF World Cup
As there have been no further bids for a month now, we have decided to bring the deadline forward to October 31st. This will allow preparation for the qualifiers to begin sooner without us having to wait an extra month for nothing

Re: Bidding to host the 2013 FMF World Cup
Okay, as it's November 1st everywhere in the world, bidding is now closed. Thank you to Interland and the joint-Zandarijn-Hammish Monovia bids. Voting will now take place in the FMF Executive Committee and the winning bid will be announced once a majority has been reached!

Voting has now been completed, and we can announce that the host of the 2013 FMF World Cup is...
Zandarijn and Hammish Monovia
Congratulations to the bid winners, who won by a 3:1 majority, and commiserations to Interland, whose strong bid has been suggested by the FMF to be submitted again next year!

Re: Bidding to host the 2013 FMF World Cup
Well, congratulations Craitman, as you are in charge of Zandarijn, and to whoever manages Hammish leagues (I presume Juan Teadoir, a.k.a. DukeJ, am I right?). I believe those will be great championships
And not to reject the suggestion, but isn't it another Federation's time to host it next year?

Re: Bidding to host the 2013 FMF World Cup
Thanks, Pawel!
Yeah, it'll be a different confederation to this year, but the EMUFA is eligible (if not preferable, even) to have a host next year
