2015 Gerenia provisional squad
2015 Gerenia provisional squad
With Gerenia's presence at the next World Cup already secured, and with one month before the beginning of the most important football competition, Ian Elsztain has announced a 28-man provisional squad. The selected players will spend up to two weeks at the KENSE-Z facilities in Mariaville, where they will train but also compete for the 23 available places after returning from Talenore, where the national team will face the local side in a friendly match next Sunday.
Elsztain's list contain players who have taken part in the qualifying campaign. There is only one surprise, and it is a big one: Igor Kosko is returning to the national squad after almost one year of absence.
Some of the players will also see their names changed, following a mandate from the government by which all Gerenian citizens have to bear Gerenian names.
