Bidding for the 2017 FMF World Cup
Bidding for the 2017 FMF World Cup
It's that time of year again; time to open up bidding for hosting rights to the 2017 FMF World Cup. The FMF executive have agreed to suspend the confederational rotational policy, instead deciding that all nations will be able to bid so long as they don't belong to the confederation which hosted the previous tournament. This means that all nations outside of the WMFA will be able to bid, and thus will be open to nations from the AEFA, CTFA and EMUFA confederations
The tournament will contain 20 teams and will use the same format as the 2015 World Cup.
The bidding process will run from now until the 25th of November (giving those interested seven weeks to compile and submit their bids), and bidding nations should fill-out the following form here:
Good luck to all bidding nations and let's all look forward to another fantastic FMF World Cup in 2017!

What about having the tournament in different cities across Micras? Akin to the UEFA Euro 2020.

Re: Bidding for the 2017 FMF World Cup
That approach could work for a confederational tournament, but I think it would be too spread-out to hold a World Cup all across Micras. You're more than welcome to try and compile a bid similar to that approach if you can though!

Why do you think you deserve to host the world cup?: Since joining Micras, Senya has made football a priority, we've held a number of friendly tournaments and participated in many friendlies at a rate that other nations can only dream of matching. The national team has came on leaps and bounds due to this. In our first ever appearance in a World Cup in 2014, we reached the semi-finals, and were only a minute away from taking eventual champions Mercury to penalties. This year, we won the Copa Apollonia for the first time, handsomely winning the final. Senyan players are renowned around the world, and the Senyan Top League has become one of the most competitive and strongest leagues on the planet.
In terms of hosting ability, Senya has the stadiums that can meet the demand. Not only are our stadiums large in capacity, mainly due to the safe standing zones which have made Senyan atmospheres famous worldwide, but also our club teams regularly sell out their grounds, even when playing lower division sides in cup games. In our history, we have held many successful tournaments, including the 2013 Copa Apollonia and the 2015 Women's World Championships, along with several editions of the SSIT.
For a Senyan hosted World Cup, we would give each participating nation 15,000 "follow your country" tickets, which would guarantee each ticket holder access to each of their country's games, including the final if they make it that far. Fan parks would be set up in each of the host cities, to allow fans to mingle and celebrate the tournament together.
Additionally, the government is in total support of the project. In 2015, the government set up Project 2017, to assist the financing to build stadiums, facilities and transport links in preparation for the tournament. Each country will be assigned the training facilities of a local Senyan club, with the exception of the Senyan national team who will use their base in Colney, and so each nation will have access to a 5* hotel to themselves, training facilities, a spa, including swimming pools, ice baths and hot tubs, gyms and sport science equipment. All allocated training centres will be located no further than 10km from a hospital, to ensure that any problems can be easily dealt with quickly.
To make the experience even more fan friendly, fans with "follow your country" tickets will be entitled to free transport on Senyan Railways for the duration of the tournament, as well as free bus/metro travel in the city of the game on matchday. Although by Senyan law, kids under the age of 7 are banned from going to games, family and school tickets will be available with each country being given a section to be designated as a "family area" to encourage the next generation of footballers to watch the games. In addition to this, the player mascots will be picked from the local area.
But above all, the best reason to give Senya a World Cup is because Senya acknowledges that "Football without fans is nothing". And our fans, through the Naldas, Komovoren, DIS Senya and the Young Greens have produced so many spectacular atmospheres throughout the years, and to bring that to a World Cup would be fantastic. Local Senyans also love football to the point they would create a demand so high you could probably fill out the Snakepit for a random game between two of the World's most random countries because the locals would be so interested. And they would make it, without doubt, the greatest World Cup ever.

Re: Bidding for the 2017 FMF World Cup
Even if just to alleviate Barnaby's sole involvement in this entire process, I shall announce that the FMF Executives have voted in favour of awarding Senya the rights to host next summer's FMF World Cup!
While the only bid for the tournament's hosting, Senya's application was extremely popular with the Executives - having missed-out on hosting 2015's finals - and a majority deemed it suitable in a vote that was far from protracted.
Congratulations, Senya, Project 2017 was a success!
