Yes, I'm personally a bit disappointed that Calbion weren't able to advance further but it was a good debut!Jack wrote:It appears it's over for us, unfortunately. Good job on those who will advance!

Senya goes crazy as Ëgermarč fires Green Army into quarter-finals
Senya knew they needed to beat Talenore by five goals to reach the quarters, without the potential headache of a play-off fixture. And with less than a minute to go and winning by just the four goals to nil, some Senyans had resigned themselves to believing that a play-off with either Vyktory of Hamland was on the cards. However, Harë Ëgermarč, the team's reserve central defender, only playing to give the more experience centre back in the squad a rest, fired home an effort from 25 yards into the top corner, sending the crowd into raptures. Fans flooded onto the pitch as the referee blew the whistle, with the players being overcome by supporters keen to share the moment with their heroes.
Ëgermarč struggled to sum up his emotions in the post match interview. "It was crazy, I just hit it more in hope than expectation and to see it hit the back of the net like that, with so much riding on it, was phenomenal! I can't describe what happened next, everything's a bit of a blur right now!".
Senya will play the winners of the play-off between the Runners-up of Group C and the Third Place team in Group D in the quarter-final, which will be held in the Green Army's infamous cathedral of fire "The Snakepit", where 115,000 will be cheering on them on.

Senya reach World Cup final, avenging 2014 in the process
In 2014 Senya suffered heartbreak in the semi-final of the World Cup in Indokistan, as Joe Foxon fired home a 121st winner to seal Mercury a place in the World Cup final, a final which they went on to win.
So three years on, another Senya-Mercury semi-final, this time in Senya, was the cause of great interest in this game. Senya were the only semi finalist who had never won the tournament, and having never played in a final before, and many around the stadium were nervous. And when, on 26 minutes Jack Patridge fired home to give Mercury the lead, many were consigning themselves to another third-place play-off. However, with the game entering the last few minutes, Alesandrœ Danetskë fired home to send the 49,000 odd home fans into pandemonium inside the ground. The game entered extra time, but this time there was no 121st minute winner, as the game entered penalties. The first 12 penalties of the shoot-out were all scored, but when Jan Maytek missed from 12-yards, many Senyans were once again consigning themselves to the Third-place match. However, extraordinarily, Stephen Charlton missed his penalty, continuing the shoot-out. From here, Senya remained ruthless, before Sileman Bɏankarlënœ saved defender Arthur Newton's spot-kick to give Senya a place, sparking wild celebrations in the stadium, with yet another pitch invasion as fans poured onto the pitch to congratulate the team.
Following the game, captain Barnaby Hands described the result as "incredible", saying "every one of the lads stepped up today big time. This was without doubt the hardest game we've ever played in Senyan shirts and we've won it! Now we have to push one more time on Sunday, but we have a big big chance now!"
Senya will play the winner of Alexandria and Tellia, who meet in their semi tomorrow.
