2019 FMF World Cup bidding
2019 FMF World Cup bidding
It's that time of year again; time to open up bidding for hosting rights to the 2019 FMF World Cup. The FMF executive have agreed to suspend the confederational rotational policy, instead deciding that all nations will be able to bid so long as they don't belong to the confederation which hosted the previous tournament. Following Senya's hosting in 2017, this means that all nations outside of the AEFA will be able to bid, and thus will be open to nations from the CTFA, EMUFA and WMFA confederations
The tournament will contain 20 teams and will use the same format as the 2017 World Cup.
The bidding process will run from now until the 30th of November (giving those interested six weeks to compile and submit their bids), and bidding nations should fill-out the following form here:
Good luck to all bidding nations and let's all look forward to another fantastic FMF World Cup in 2019!

3)Güneş Stadium 18,300 (Öturma)

Leader: Tsaloj Deniz Yürük
Government: Parliamentary Monarchy
Number of Leagues: 1
Number of Teams in Premier Division: 8
Why do you think you deserve to host the world cup?: Birgeshir maybe doesn't offer the best stadiums in capacity and number due to its small land, but the love and passion for association football is high and its domestic League along with the National Team is gaining attention in Micras year by year. Also, the micronation is safe due to its neutral position in micrasian affairs.

Nation Name: Vyktory
Association: CTFA
Number of Stadiums: 10
Vyktory National Football Stadium (96,313), Jamestown
Lionsgate Stadium (77,500), Lionsgate
Rogerton Stadium (67,500), Rogerton
Harrisville Rectangular Stadium (60,000)
*Jamestown Stadium (44,000 upgrading to 60,000), Jamestown*
Hyde Park (57,500), Hyde
*Plainstown Stadium (32,500 upgrading to 50,000), Plainstown*
*Stamford Arena (37,500 upgrading to 50,000), Stamford*
Georgetown Stadium (48,000), Georgetown
*Austin Football Arena (30,000 upgrading to 45,000), Austin*
Leader: His Royal Majesty James II of Vyktory
Government: Parliamentary Monarchy
Number of Leagues: 4 (15 if including non-simulated leagues)
Number of Teams in Premier Division: 12
Why do you think you deserve to host the world cup?: Vyktory has had a short but successful history in football, culminating in a second place finish at the 2018 CiboTap Championships. They have hosted various minor friendly tournaments, such as the Devon Shield and the "Galatian" Cup, while also having hosted major tournaments in other sports, like Rugby League and Hockey.
Vyktory has a very multicultural and diverse society, though most diversity comes from the many offworlders who call the area home, with the area technically being a territory of the Galactic Wyrm Assembly. Vyktoryans are also football mad, and while their stadiums are relatively large compared to population, many people fill the major stadiums from off planet, however for the 2019 world cup, there will be a seperate section for off-world tickets around 2% of the stadium capacity due to the competition being majorly focused on Micras. The only exception to this rule would be Terrans from Hoenn if they qualify and GWA citizens if the GWA qualifies, but only for their games.
In addition, Vyktory will be hosting games against those with byes in qualifying to keep their team fit and also to act as curtain raisers for the world cup if they are selected to host. More detail will be able to be found soon at the MicrasWiki page "Project V19".

Why do you think you deserve to host the world cup?: The Hoennese Realm is, and has been since even before the introduction of Western sports approximately one hundred years ago, sporting mad. In the twelve decades since the formation of the modern Hoennse government, Hoenn has become the sporting heart of Asia, hosting the Olympic Games in 1956 (Lilycove) and 2008 (Mauville), as well as the 2002 FIFA World Cup; additionally, Hoenn has hosted countless regional and continental championships across various sports. Her record as a participant in those events further reflects is sporting madness and prowess, having earned a total of 501 medals (162 G, 172 S, 167 B) in the Summer Olympics, 58 medals (14 G, 22 S, 22 B) in the Winter Olympics, in addition to a third-place finish in the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
Hoenn is the only known country to exist on two worlds simultaneously, and is one of the safest countries on Terra; additionally, she is also known for her natural beauty, and features several world-renowned geological landmarks. The people of Hoenn, both human and maju, are also renowned for their hospitality and their harmony with nature. The language barrier is no such thing in our realm, either, with all Hoennese required to learn English plus at least one other foreign language from junior high school to university or college, and polyglottalism being a de facto requirement of employment in the tourism industry.
Owing to the unique geographical position of eighteen of the nineteen stadia included in our bid book, discounted parking & lodging, and free transportation to & from stadia, will be provided for supporters of the visiting national teams.
Tickets for each game will be allotted as follows: 45% to supporters of each team and 10% to Hoennese nationals (with the exception of games involving Hoenn, where tickets will be split 50/50).

Re: 2019 FMF World Cup bidding
The FMF Executives have deliberated on the four bids received, and would like to thank the FAs of Birgeshir, Hoenn, Palesmenia and Vyktory for their applications. The Executives have voted in favour of awarding the hosting rights to VYKTORY.
The Committee felt that the bid was the strongest, in part due to the number of venues provided, allowing a longer amount of time between games hosted at the same ground. Although Hoenn's bid also consisted of 19 venues in total, only one was located on Micras and deemed to be usable, due to travel times between galaxies, and the difficulty of obtaining off-world visas being major constraining factors. Birgeshir's bid was viewed favourably by the Committee, but it was felt that the small capacity of the stadiums would not be enough for the competition, while Palesmenia did not provide enough stadiums at all.

Following the voluntary removal of Vyktory from Micras, the eligible FMF Executives have decided unanimously to re-allocate the hosting rights to the second-placed bid. As such, the tournament will now be hosted by Birgeshir.

Re: 2019 FMF World Cup bidding
Birgeshir will use the BBNR Stadium for the FMF World Cup
After Vyktory leaving Micras, the FMF Executives had no choice but to decide that the second-placed bid,Birgeshir, whould host the 2019 World Cup.
The main reason Birgeshir wasn't chosen is for their small number of stadiums (many of them having low capacity).
Birgeshir has multipurpose stadiums, being it a small country with many sports leagues active. However, there is another stadium in Otaq that is exclusively used for rugby and amorian football: the BBNR Stadium with capacity of 17,000.
For the first time, the stadium will be used for hosting the FMF World Cup matches as well. While this is not a great addition to the list of available stadiums,it's a sign that Birgeshir is trying not to disappoint its guests during the World Cup.
