Re: 2021 Craitish transfers
2021's League 1 retirements have been confirmed:
Biulya äqi Jedu have said goodbye to 17-cap Craitish international winger Tór Vorgeņ, 34, after 15 years and squad defender Marc Paulsen, also 34, who had been with the club since their inaugural season in 2003.
Cherry Trees part ways with three notable and decorated star players, all of whom are Craitish. Long-term goalkeeper Kraig Johansen, 35, ends an 18-year association with the side, becoming the last original squad member to leave. A regular starter for both club and country, having earned 57 Craitish caps, Johansen calls time with more club trophies to his name than any other player on Micras. Joining him is Hänä Zensen and Jan Mikelt, both 33, whose combined Craitish caps tally over 200. World Cup winner Zensen was widely considered one of Micras' best in his centre-midfield position in his prime, with Mikelt being a highly valued utility player for both Cherry Trees and Craitland, capable of playing centrally and wide in both midfield and defence.
Three defensive retirements have hit Eĵars Town: Victorian-born Chris Valentine and Crait Iņvaär Jacksen, both 35-years-old, have chosen to end their professional careers, as well as Patrick Little, 36, who was last eligible to play for Passas but represented Novatainia in multiple tournaments in the past.
HóC's only retirement is perhaps a surprising one as 31-year-old winger Daniël Lavan-Olsen brings his career to an end. The poster-boy for Zandt football, who also played for the Teflons, has cited the collapse of his homeland as partial reason for what can be seen as a premature end to his professional life.
Two of the three outgoings for Kealb are former Craitish internationals, with fifty-cap Lydveldt Loresen and Damien Vorgensen, who won six caps, retiring. Loresen, 36, ends an association with Kealb that stretches back to their début season in League 1, while Vorgensen, 35, joined the club in 2017 after the dissolution of Alexandria's league. Joining them is defender Tom Nova, originally of Novatainia but lastly of Passas, who is 34.
Osĵätoņ Aztecs, midway through an admitted transition period, are the heaviest hit side in terms of retirements, with seven ending their careers including many of their most famous names. Defensive stalwarts Krzijsztijan Aawlzeczaa and Kraig Mortensen, both 34, will be big misses having spent a combined 27 years with the Aztecs, with Aawlzeczaa's international Zandt teammate Jonas van Cruyningen, 31, also feeling unable to continue playing after his homeland's demise. In addition to defence, the side's attacking contingent will be notably thinner for a while with Craits Tim Isrdlvarien and Tobias Vorgensen, and adopted Aldurian Armand Diarra calling time. Isrdlvarien remains one of Craitland's highest international scorers while Diarra was top scorer at the 2010 World Cup with his native Monovia. Lastly, Craitish 'keeper Jan Juliaĵsen, 36, retires after 15 professional years and a sole cap.
Midfielder Jón Lydveldtsen, 33, and striker Markko Pellegrino, 34, retire from Róndlinga Diamonds duty after four and 18 seasons with the club, respectively.
Sverige are seeing the end of the careers of six players, with a number of international stars among them. Shirerithian pair Nuno Santos Gomez, 36, and Kurt Lamberti, 34, are arguably the two highest profile retirees, with both 2011 World Cup finalists leaving the club after signing together in 2012. Long-term striking option Yaqin Johansen, 35, joins them, as do back-up defender and goalkeeper Ren Klevets, 34, and Vorgeņ Jansen, 36. Donnachaidh Ó Mórdha is the final outgoing, with the Oscland-born winger now aged 33.
Jowi Bach has retired from football, leading the short list of Xäiville Teflons retirements. The Batavian, 34, holds the record for the most goals scored in a single World Cup finals match with five and ends his career after two spells in Craitland's top tier. Fellow attacker Ĵulian O'Neale, also 34, and defensive reserve Dave Jonmikeltsen, 35, are the others to bring to an end lengthy associations with the Teflons.
The only club without any players choosing to end their full careers this summer is ZK.

Re: 2021 Craitish transfers
Patrick Marshall became the first permanent League 1 transfer of the summer as he moved back home to Floria for a fee of Cr 8.3 million. After three unsettled seasons with Xäiville Teflons, since joining for Cr 11 million in 2018, he was picked up as City look to strengthen their chances of a Champions' League spot. Marshall left Craitland with a league best finish of 7th and a Cities' Cup runner-up medal.

Re: 2021 Craitish transfers
A number of Castilonan free agents have signed for League 1 sides as teams look to fill gaps in their squads on a budget:
BäJ have brought in two previously touted youngsters. Left-back Junior Felipe-Arin, 28, was first capped for North Antarctica as a teenager and may be a mid-term replacement for club legend Alexis Proteņ in that position. Additionally, winger Alex Vanderkaay, 27, becomes the second in his family to play in Craitland, joining Teflons-based brother Martin. Felipe-Arin goes into the number 21, with Vanderkaay taking 19.
The most well-known addition is probably midfielder Jonathan Smalling, 31, who has been picked as a direct replacement for the retiring Daniël Lavan-Olsen for HóC. A veteran of nine Napian international tournament finals squads, the wide-man fills the vacant number seven.
In their desire to replace a considerable number of striking retirees, the Aztecs have made Rafael Konstantinov, 28, their first acquisition of the window. The forward featured in six North Antarctica World Cup and Copa Apollonia rosters and had a fair scoring rate throughout a few domestic seasons. He now wears the club's 19 jersey.
Left-wing Jonathan Orozco, 26, has agreed to join Sverige Tiem. Expected to cover Danijel Đorđević out wide, he takes the side's 25 shirt to match his number at previous club FC Murcia.
Goalkeeper Arnaud Martins, 28, joins the Teflons as they strengthen that position after losing Floria's Patrick Marshall this summer. The former-Napian international will bring experience for new #1 Will Tór to learn from. Also joining Xäiville is international defender Daniel Lopez-Occidental, 31, who will likely be a back-up option to what is otherwise a settled back line. Martins will wear the 13 and Lopez-Occidental takes number 20.

Re: 2021 Craitish transfers
Sverige Tiem have smashed their transfer record to secure the signature of Floria's World Cup-winning captain Cristiano Ramirez.
With designs on dethroning Cherry Trees this season, Sverige have chosen to go big in their attempts to spearhead their attack and replace the retired Kurt Lamberti. The initial fee of Cr 30 million not only uses the club's entire base summer allowance but also doubles their record signing, which was previously the aforementioned Lamberti's move in 2012. Additional clauses in the move could see the total payment rise to Cr 35 million should the Tiem side win a fourth League 1 title in the next three seasons.
In addition to this year's World Cup victory, Ramirez, comes to League 1 with notable success, having led his national side to the Copa Apollonia title in 2020 and winning every major trophy with Northcliff United, including back-to-back AEFA Champions' Leagues. Ramirez was also voted runner-up for the Maillot d'Or for his individual performances during last year too.
The 24-year-old will take the club's number nine jersey, befitting his expected role as their primary striking option.

Re: 2021 Craitish transfers
Craitish clubs have this weekend secured a triple signing of Meckelnish national team stars following the nation's surprise run to the World Cup semi-finals.
Osĵätoņ Aztecs have targeted another striker as they look to rebuild their frontline, acquiring Cecil Spear from the Tuft Amberjacks. The 27-year-old scored three goals in Floria this summer, including a penalty against Craitland, as he played an important part in the team's successes. The move's fee was confirmed as Cr 7 million and Spear shall wear the 14 shirt.
Xäiville Teflons have also targeted an attacking signing, bringing in Spear's front three foil Garnet William for Cr 5.2 million. William, utilised in the World Cup on the right-hand side, joins from Townsville Rumblebees after scoring the winning last-minute goal against Mercury in the quarter-finals this summer. The 25-year-old will give the Teflons another layer going forward with a different approach than their current strike force and takes the side's number 19.
Lastly, captain Pierre Lemaire has agreed to be part of the Róndlinga Diamonds project as the club aims for more consistent top-half finishes. The 20-year-old was somewhat of a revelation in the World Cup in the centre of midfield, leading Meckelnburgh, scoring three times and being voted into the Team of the Tournament. Joining from the Boulonne Stingrays for a considerable Cr 10.9 million fee, Lemaire slots into the Diamonds' vacant number 8 jersey.

Re: 2021 Craitish transfers
The first ethnic Phinbellan has joined League 1, as Osĵätoņ Aztecs have signed defender Raphaël L'Esperance-O'Kirwan. The 22-year-old agreed terms earlier this month but has now signed officially for Cr 2.5 million following the completion of the Phinbella Cup season, in which his former club Frontier Bison reached the quarter-finals. A raw prospect, the versatile centre-back's attacking threat has been noted after scoring three goals against Albirex Niigatawas, while his defensive talent is something that the Aztecs are looking to hone with experience. He has been given the team's 17 shirt and will be available for this week's coming match.

Re: 2021 Craitish transfers
Craitland international winger Markko Christiansen has returned to the domestic top flight after being signed by Kealb for Cr 8 million from Mainlae Town.
After joining Mainlae in the summer of 2019 following the demise of Gerenia's footballing setup, he has been unsuccessful in his attempts to bring the club out of League 2 in the past two campaigns and has chosen to move on. He will challenge Juan Pellegrino on the left side for Kealb, who aim to improve their recent league placings by strengthening their depth, and may offer a more versatile formation possibility as a more classical left-midfielder compared to Juan's winger ideals. The former Cherry Trees and BäJ man, 28, will wear the vacated number ten shirt.

Róndlinga Diamonds have completed their squad for the season with a deadline-day acquisition from League 2 side CT United, as forward Lars Ählcqist joins for a fee of Cr 650,000. The 23-year-old has shown a golden touch in the Craitish lower divisions in the past few years, coming to wider attention in 2019 after scoring the winning goal in the King's Cup semi-final against BäJ, and will now look to prove himself at the highest level albeit with competition for a starting role at Diamond Län.

Sverige Tiem have become the third League 1 side to delve into the division below for a late transfer, bringing in right-back Kraig Jonsen-Tórsen on a season-long loan from Osĵätoņ Town FC. The 26-year-old has played a part in one of the division's better defences in recent years and joins to deputise behind club captain Daniel Hjansen. Having used their entire summer budget on the signing of Cristiano Ramirez earlier in the window, a loan was Sverige's only option here, though reports say that an obligation to buy permanently next year clause has been included in the deal. He will wear the 22.

Re: 2021 Craitish transfers
Deadline day has brought about its biggest deals so far, with a double swoop between League 1 clubs and Sanillan outfit Nee City Tigers.
Firstly, Eĵars Town have alleviated some of their defensive worries thanks to the signing of Talenore's Jakop Hamar for Cr 13 million. The 25-year-old has been a fixture for a Talenore side that regularly qualifies for finals tournaments and reached the EMU final last year. He looks to be an immediate candidate to start alongside Jær Van Kotrisbond at centre-back and has been given the number 5.
The second signing is Hamar's international teammate Peder Xvarts, who has been bought by reigning champions Cherry Trees. Joining for a substantial Cr 17 million fee, the attack-minded midfielder will hopefully be a bridge between the centre of the park and the frontline for the capital club as they try to fill the boots of the retired Hänä Zensen. Xvarts has been another key member of Talenore's squad, scoring in the past three finals tournaments in which they've featured, and at 26 will be hitting his peak in the coming seasons. He will be Cherry Trees' new number 13.

Kealb have brought in a second Craitish international in as many days, with centre-back Jan Paulsen agreeing a move back home from Tellia's Inter Vecchiavo. A former Eĵars Town youth product who caught the eye of Romero Sport in his early days, he has been at Inter since 2014 and helped the club to its first silverware in the WMFA Cup in 2020, earning his first Craitland call-up as a result. The deal is thought to be worth Cr 7 million, and the 28-year-old will wear the number 19 in his attempts to eventually truly prove himself in League 1.

Cherry Trees' second signing before the window closes is another player being brought back to Craitland after playing abroad, with goalkeeper Tim Ula joining for Cr 3 million from FC Fiorecittà. The 31-year-old has spent the past decade in Tellia's Serie A after leaving the Teflons for Vecchiacittà and then joining Fiorecittà, and established himself as one of the league's best stoppers, earning 27 Craitland caps so far off the back of his domestic form. His move to Cherry Trees comes as a slight surprise, with the champions seemingly looking confident in the abilities of youngster Richard Lundman until now, but Ula's expertise makes him a likely candidate to become the club's first choice going forward, wearing the 15 shirt.

Re: 2021 Craitish transfers
Osĵätoņ Aztecs have added two further deadline signings to ease the impact of their bulk of retirements earlier this summer, albeit from opposite ends of the transfer spectrum.
Firstly, Senyan World Cup-winning centre-half Harë Ëgermarč, 30, has joined from Urzi Magalatska for a hefty Cr 15 million fee. The defender previously spent a season on loan with Kealb early in his career, so has experience of League 1, and has been an ever-present in Senya's tournament squads over the past five summers, helping his national side to three trophies in that time. His work is likely to be cut-out for him in the Aztecs' back line, but the side's new number five will be up for a new challenge in an old stomping ground.
In addition, the club has added Castilonan free agent Edward Johnson to its roster. Unattached since the demise of his native league, the former-Napian international, 27, joins compatriot Rafael Konstantinov and takes the 18 jersey.
