The 27 year-old has been hoping for a move away from his hometown club this summer having fallen down the pecking order following a combination of poor personal displays and the arrival of other in-form goalscorers. Daviddlaw is Craitland's sixth highest scorer, with 14 in just 38 appearances, but has failed to add to his caps tally since losing his regular club spot. The powerful forward was tipped in his youth as a future Hanast-type player, and a move to essentially replace the HóC legend as the club looks to rebuild may see that prediction come true if he can find the form he showed in previous years.

The likelihood is that Daviddlaw will join Jeroen van Veen - another young star who has yet to reach his full potential - in HóC's new-look attack, with much expectation on their shoulders as the club looks to avoid repeating its bottom-of-the-table showing of last year. Daviddlaw, quoting what he considers to have been bad fortune in the last few years, said that he will happily wear the vacated number 13 for HóC, and will prove to all his doubters that he has banished his demons.

The 26 year-old has been undoubtedly one of the best players on Micras over the past few years, with his performances helping his adopted home nation to a World Cup victory in 2012 and an unexpected runners-up place earlier this year. With Cherry Trees' primary focus on regaining their League 1 title after a poor showing last season, the signing of Zajc for a hefty sum shows a major signal of intent and a warning that this team means business. A surely guaranteed starter for the capital club, the number eleven shirt has remained open since Jan Mikelt vacated it in favour of the eight, and the rumours regarding a big coup have certainly been shown to be true.

Zajc will be expected to go straight into Cherry Trees' squad for this weekend's match, and many will be hoping to see him adorn his new number eleven from a starting position despite having not trained with the team yet. Whatever happens, we will be sure to hear much more about this massive signing over the coming weeks!
