Dynamo Deacon sign Vyktory's North
Vyktory's World Cup Team of the Year defender, Barry North, has joined Dynamo Deacon, after the club activated his Cr 10 million release clause. Lionsgate City had been keen to hold on to North as they push for the league title this season, but Deacon's bid proved too much to turn down, and North signed a 3-year contract this morning. North, speaking after agreeing the deal, said "I feel that this is the next step in my career and I'm really happy to have signed for such a prestgious club, but I won't forget trial day nor my spell at Lionsgate anytime soon!".
Deacon chairman Jim Prescott promised more signings this summer, telling MeTV Sports News "I've set aside maybe 50-60 million for this season, as we aim to be winning the Champions' League and the Premier League. George [Hutton, Deacon manager] has his eyes on a couple of players at the minute, and I'm quite prepared to spend the money to get us where we want to be."

Mercury international winger James Phillips has returned home to May Wanderers in a reported Cr 5 million move, with the 24 year-old right-sider making his way to the club he left in the summer of 2012.
Having departed in a high-profile Cr 7 million move to Hamland's FC Garrak five years ago, Phillips has since become a valuable asset to the Mercurian national team, helping them to FMF World Cup success two years later. However, with the cessation of the HPL last season during the destruction of the Hammish Civil War, Phillips' only club side involvement was in their run to the EMUFA Champions' League quarter-finals; a lack of playing time which lost him his starting place in this summer's World Cup. However, the midfielder signed contract terms with the recently-established Garrak Athletic to compete in the new Caputian league earlier this month, and appeared in their first Premier Cup fixtures, performing well enough to increase interest back home, especially with his former club.
Wanderers' initial bid - a decrease on his selling price - was accepted earlier today, and amicable terms for all parties were easily met within the space of hours for the transfer to be completed; making Phillips the first outgoing move from the Premier Division. With the ball now rolling, Garrak Athletic have already been linked to Billy McVeigh as a replacement, with the Craitish-based winger reportedly want-away to return to his historical homeland.

Tow Law expected to smash Mercury transfer record
Tow Law are expected to complete the signing of double-World Cup-winning striker Andrew Miller from Craitish League 1 side Xäiville Teflons FC. The fee is expected to eclipse that paid by Dynamo Deacon last year for Ĵulian Ólsen, with some sources suggesting that the Lawyers will shell out somewhere in the region of Cr 25m. There's speculation that Deacon will also be in the market for a striker, following Jack Partridge's departure yesterday. The club have already spent Cr 10m this window, and their owner has promised to spend even more, with rumours that a Tellian striker could be heading their way.

Tow Law representatives added that bringing Miller to the club, in a move which makes him the most expensive player signed by a Mercurian team and also the tenth-most costly transfer ever, was hopefully the start of a new era of dominance with Miller and new striker partner Joe Foxon having some serious goalscoring pedigree at all levels between them.
The striker's deal announcement came under hesitant circumstances following the
heartbreaking news of former-Tow Law player Jamie Dent's death earlier this morning bringing a sombre mood to the club, but with the medical known to have been underway, the move was a near-inevitability.
In light of Miller's departure, Teflons' Craitish right-midfielder Jan Mortensen has switched to their number 7 jersey, with new signing Mercury forward Jack Partridge being confirmed taking the vacated number 11. Miller's number at Tow Law has yet to be announced.
