Re: 2018 Tellian transfers
Vecchicittà captain leaves in record deal
Isaac Mahler has completed a move to Senya's Svorgas Scitenhima, and becomes the most expensive Tellian player in the process.
In a deal worth Cr 40 million, Mahler overtakes Sezer Özker's Cr 35 million move from last summer. Mahler, who had captained Vecchicittà since Jóhann Viðarsson's departure in 2012, led the team through their most successful period, lifting two league titles and a WMFA Champions' League, but has seen his club fall apart somewhat in recent years after previous big spending had led to hardship.
Mahler's move looks to offset some of Vecchiacittà's debts, whilst giving the 27 year-old a new challenge in a different league. He will wear Scitenhima's number 23, while Caputian defender Cyril Kopaczewski becomes the new Vecchiacittà captain.
