Natopia votes NAY,
...but with the following proviso: " that in the event of the amendment being adopted by the state parties, the change to the Treaty is nevertheless ratified, by this resolution, allowing Natopia to remain a member of the SCUE."

The appointment was made in a private forum in the Brettish Isles. Here is the particular post:
Thank you, Lord Chancellor. I am, at least, relieved that the matter was handled without great public discord or rancour.

In the future, I ask that all foreign proposals be brought to my attention, first. This is especially important as there are many areas to attend to which I am not aware of. I have no problem taking advice and counsel from any citizen or member of this Council; but, both due to constitutionality, and out of respect for the Protectorship itself, it is important that matters of foreign policy and finance are cleared here.

Also, I would be happy to appoint Mr. Sherrinford to a post so as to grant him the ability to exercise the authority of this government, provided it run by the Office of Lord Protector first.

Also, as Steward of the Imperial Republic of Shireroth, in the absence of H.N. the Kaiser, I cast the vote of NAY on behalf of the Imperial Government of Shireroth.

It has not passed. A majority of ALL member states must approve. This has not happened.

Quite correct. Only 41% of all the member nations have voted in favour, so the proposal fails.

The SCUE should be glad this was not passed. It would be devastating for the organisation.

Oh yeah? Thats why the majority of members who voted, voted in favor, right? I suppose the bank would have lost Shiretoth and Flanders, but neither of those would count as "devastating" losses.

Yes, because anything backed by a majority is automatically a good idea.

Don't be such a drama queen. It isn't a good idea just because it's backed by a majority of voters. It's a good idea on its own merit.

The facts speak for themselves. This proposal obviously did not fail due to a lack of support. With that in mind, you can rest assured that I will continue to fight for this amendment. This issue is far from resolved.

Your argument against this being devastating for the SCUE was that a plurality voted for it. I call that a bad argument.
