Forum structure
Perhaps its just me, but I find it a bit annoying to have to go through soo many forum/boards to get to a thread, especially in the independent organizations part. For instance, if i post in Notices and i'd like to know if there's a new post in Notices, then the simple 'new posts' icon helps a lot. But, if i want to know about new posts in Annunia, or Apollo Foundation or MAS, its practically useless. Because say I want to know about MAS, but someone posts in Apollo Foundation, then the 'new post' icon still changes on the main board for the "History & Research" section. Could you please change that somehow?
Forums in question:
Micras Organizations
History & Research
Fleet Street
How about instead of making them forums, make them categories? Everyone knows that these are not MCS anyway. Or if required, simply title them "Independent Micras Organizations" , "Independent History & Research", "Independent Fleet Street"... etc..

Re: Forum structure
Err, yeah. We went through this last week. As there are so many independent groups, we put them into categories so they take-up less space. I even posted a warning in Notices to tell everyone that it was happening and nobody said they were against it, so it was changed.
Anyway, the "new posts" argument is useless because the subforums are listed on the index and they have their own symbols by the side of them which turn orange when a particular subforum has new posts. If a subforum you're interested in has new posts, you know about it on the index, then you can just click on that subforum's name to go straight to it (the same amount of clicks as if it were a direct forum).
And what you said at the end is actually what we did, so
