Keltia River
Not a complain, but there's no more questions or misc. discussion forums over here anymore.
The river that runs north to south, seperating Uantir from Ocia (pretty much cutting off the entire north east chunk of Keltia from the rest of the continent,) does it already have a name?

Re: Keltia River
Bosworth called it the River Hamble and that name was used for a couple of years, but i don't think it has an "offical" name.
Re: Keltia River
I like precedence on this map. The physical map is a sorely neglected aspect of the MCS. Uantir will adopt River Hamble as t's accepted and official name on our maps.

Re: Keltia River
I think, for the most part, things being unnamed on the physical map was intended to allow nations to call them whatever they liked, rather than being stuck with a particular name. If we can get a big enough general understanding on the name of something unmarked on the physical map, then that's probably enough backing for it to be added though

Re: Keltia River
I must state that Oscland's section of the river, which will be the longest section, will not adopt this name, and will be called something relevant to Oscland that represents our culture.

That's acceptable. And the Germans call their home something odd in their own language as well.*

Re: Keltia River
Back when Attera was on the map it used to be called the Argaal River.
Re: Keltia River
Ja, like most things on the physical map, the nation occupying that land usually adopts a culturally relevant name. I think I've called the river in question in one or two essays in Normark 'Størreelven', meaning Big River in Norwegian. The mountain range we lay on plays a rather ubiquitous part in our culture as the Blue Mountains.
