Re: Spam
Moved to the forum complaints board seeing as this isn't about the MCS.
I'm not sure we can do, but I'll tell Spangle and hopefully he'll be able to sort something. But for the timebeing, just ignore it and I'll delete it and the culprits' accounts as soon as I can, like I've been doing

I think they are kind of funny. I like to time how long it takes them to get axed.
Though if it's really a problem I find myself, through the magic of mobile internet technology on my droid, checking the forums quite a lot more than I used to. Even if I don't reply to everything because I hate typing long messages on my phone if you were to give me kill-o-zap powers I could help keep the boards clean when you're offline.

Re: Spam
I've added a custom field which needs to be filled-in whenever someone registers. They have to type a specific word to answer the question as I thought a multiple choice field might be easily guessed. Let's hope this makes things a little better

Re: Spam
That should help. If it doesn't, you can upgrade your CAPTCHA (the image you have to decipher to register to reCAPTCHA - it just needs you to register on their site and then put that key into the admin panel - it's a standard phpBB3 feature now.
