What is a Micras Heritage Site?

Geographically speaking a Micran Heritage Site can be almost anything, the term simply refers to a site (whether it be a single building, a city, or any other human construction) which is of outstanding universal value in terms of cultural development. In practice MHS's are sites which, due to the work of a Micronationalist, are of a cultural standard which is exceptional to that one site. Essentially an MHS can be almost any kind of building(s) imaginable, it simply has to be culturally developed to an extent which exceeds the normal and establishes that site as a living link to a culture and is thus a part of the common cultural heritage of the Micronational community.

What are the criteria for nominations?

As outlined above, a site must be a man-made construction and that construction must meet the following criteria:
1) To represent an exceptional level of cultural development within a Micronational community, either on a national or international scale.
2) To bear a unique testimony to a cultural tradition of a Micronation, either living or dead.
3) To be an outstanding example of a type of building, architecture or landscape which illustrates a significant stage in Micronational History.
4) To be tangibly associated with events or living traditions, ideas or beliefs of outstanding universal significance.
Where do i start?

If your Micronation has a site which you believe to be suitable for nomination the first stage is to complete the form below in a new thread:
Name of Site:
Micronation:
Type of site: (Municipal building/city/religious site/stadium/theatre) etc. Indicate here also if the site is ruins.
Outstanding universal value description: (explain why the site meets the criteria above)
Floor plan: (provide a basic map of the key elements of the site with appropriate annotations and explanations.)
Images: (if applicable)
Any notes:
What happens then?

Your application will be judged based on the information you provide, should a problem arrise as to why the site cannot be given Heritage Site status you will be provided with information as to what you could do to improve the application to an acceptable level else you will be informed why the site nominated was unsuitable. Once accepted your site will be catalogued and given an Inscription which sums up the universal value which the site holds.

How many times can I apply?

Any Micronation can apply as many times as it desires. Dead nations may also have their sites recognised if the nation currently holding the territory allows it.
