Re: Restoring the MAS
Rather a conference. We will not have attendance needed to form a regular council.

Re: Restoring the MAS
Well call it what you like, a body to decide stuff
Re: Restoring the MAS
Depends on what we need to decide. If we're going to open up some planets for colonization or recognize space programs (as before) then yes, a permanent Council should be set up (or reestablished) with rules and procedures and hierarchy (or would such extramicran claims be decided by the MCS?).
But since we're just discussing standardization and plausibility now, a Conference with the assumed power to decide standards would be best.

Re: Restoring the MAS
I don't think we should allow colonising of other planets. Setting up bases, yes, land claims, no. So a conference at some point then to set some standards

Re: Restoring the MAS
Well, the MAS was set-up to vote/agree on anything regarding Tarsica, so I'd say that it should also deal with all extramicran stuff in generalNathan wrote:(or would such extramicran claims be decided by the MCS?).

Re: Restoring the MAS
I was thinking about the second option for now. We are not ready to colonise another planet, because we still have white (oh well, green) spots on the maps of Micras. Maybe some first steps could be done later this year, but I won't be very supportive for that cause (which doesn't mean Interland wouldn't take part in space race if that one was to be held).
Anyway, could we have a 'Standarisation of Atos System' forum here, Craitman? We already have three threads which belong there and more to be created!

Sure. Let me know the titles of the threads which would need to be moved there and I'll do that toopawelabrams wrote:Anyway, could we have a 'Standarisation of Atos System' forum here, Craitman? We already have three threads which belong there and more to be created!

I've knocked together a basic diagram of the inner planets in Powerpoint, but I can't upload it, so can I email it to people?

Re: Restoring the MAS
You can email 'em to me, I would make either a PNG out of the slides or make it available on republikainterlandu.co.cc . I've sent you my address in a PM.joefoxon wrote:I've knocked together a basic diagram of the inner planets in Powerpoint, but I can't upload it, so can I email it to people?
It seems that I have mod powers here - I'll try to move it myself, thanksCraitman wrote:Sure. Let me know the titles of the threads which would need to be moved there and I'll do that too

What has been said before is not always right.joefoxon wrote:It's been said before that there's no way a new planet will be added to the system.

Re: Restoring the MAS
Well, sometimes maybe But well - we can consider making a 3D map of our space sector with MCS, OIK, Pollin, and possibly other systems marked! Should we make a topic for 'Outer outer space'? Because we could invite people from other mapping organisations to discuss the location of other Microworlds

That'd actually be awesome Have you ever seen the program Stellarium? Something like that'd be cool

Re: Restoring the MAS
I've always preferred Celestia, but I get the drift I think I personally won't be able to do this; but I can make a 3d map in Google SketchUp for example, and publish it along with coordinates of other systems as seen from Micras (these will include astronomical notation of position on the firmament and distance in light years - or months, but I'm not certain of gravity effects of stars being less than 4 ly apart)

Re: Restoring the MAS
Well, 4-4.5 ly is sufficient (Proxima Centauri is about that away)
