The Gerenian Football Association, in response to the increasing popularity of futsal in the Republic's territory, has created a national league: the Futsal Premier League (Leranodes Zoutĵalies), to start in a week.

The participants for this very first season are nine, with a heavy presence of Port Isherwood-based clubs (7 out of 9). In alphabetical order:

The Premier League is going to have two stages. In the first one, the nine teams are going to be split in three groups. The best two teams of each group will advance to the Premier League proper, while the rest will dispute the so-called Zareplúmbumes ("Lead Cup"). The matches of the First Stage are going to be played at single venues (not necessarily neutral), to be determined by the Association.

The Premier League proper is going to be conducted under the round-robin system, with each team playing the others twice. The season winners would be lifting the Golden Cup by next July 31st.

The official calendar of the league is the following:
May 25th - 30th: First Stage
June 6th - 13th: Zareplúmbumes
June 1st - July 31st: Premier League proper.

Finally, due to this league being created, Arquitectura Futsal will not represent Gerenia in the Champions' League unless they secure one of the now two available berths given to the country.

Just saying for the CL signups end July 1st so you have to submit the squads by then. But this is great!

Well, in that case, the best two teams at mid-season will qualify for the Champions' League.
