Merenolitovina vs. Talenore
Merenolitovina vs. Talenore
Thracistan vs. HurmuTalenore started strongly against a Merenolitovina side that was weakened by suspension to winger Jarosław Brzęczyszczykiewicz and defender Wojtek Starek. Kali Kalani, who went into the match as the tournament's joint top goalscorer came close to extending his tally, running on the end of a ball through by Tanilo Wilamu, only to prod his effort just wide of the upright. Merenolitovina took their time in getting going, but eventually played their way back into the match, with Robert Laskowski perhaps unlucky to see his dinked goal ruled out for a marginal offside in the build up. Talenore though were the better team, and took the lead through a wonderful Vernon Cristaldo free-kick from the edge of the box after Kalani had been chomped down by Yudel Rosenberg, who picked up a yellow card for his troubles. Talenore almost went into the break with a two goal lead, but Wilamu could only hit the bar with his dipping effort from range.Spoiler!
Talenore continued their dominance into the second half, with Cristaldo seeing another free-kick graze the crossbar before Kalani forced Gavrel Kurts into a good save to deny the Osĵätoņ Aztecs man from close range. But Talenore were eventually rewarded for their graft, with Kalani again cutting in inside the box, forcing a save from Kurts, but the ball spilled out and on to the head of Xvarts, who steered his low header into the roof of the net. Despite being two goals behind, Merenolitovina didn't give up, and almost brought themselves back into the game immediately, had Taki Tolâso not reacted quickly enough to deny Laskowski again with a quick reflex save. Adam Brzeziński also came close to beating the Bohemian Rhapsodies stopper, but his effort crashed against the crossbar as the Benacian outfit were left frustrated as they fell to a second defeat of the tournament.
Thracistan and Hurmu played out a technical and intricate draw in Longsight. Thracistan dominated for much of the first period without making much in the way of inroads, yet Hurmu looked dangerous with a capable attack on the break. Thracistan did take the lead though, a good period of attacking pressure saw the South Apollonians work their way into the box, with Alpay Yıldırım finding himself free in the centre of the box to slide the ball past Olle Tolonen in the Hurmudan net. However, Hurmu didn't give in, and late on they snatched an equaliser, with subsistute Tahvo Kilpi picking up Freddie Vorgensen's through ball and holding off the challenge of Berkut Vadan to find the bottom corner. In the end, a draw was probably a fair result, though both sides may come out of this feeling they could have won it.Spoiler!

Unified Governorates vs. The HexarchyWatch the highlights here!Spoiler!
The Unified Governorates claimed a second victory of the tournament against a Hexarchy side that had gone into the game on a high, having previously defeated the North Antarctic Domain in dramatic fashion last time out. The UGB dominated despite and went close early on with Harold Forester, whose header landed the wrong side of the upright, before Lur Greenstock battered the crossbar with a dipping effort from long range. The UGB took the lead through Forester before the half-hour mark, with Klaus Tanner slicing a through ball through the defence that beat the offside trap, allowing Forester to slide the ball between the legs of the onrushing goalkeeper. Johannes Talbot doubled their advantage just before the break, heading home from a corner kick routine.Spoiler!
The Hexarchy weren't down and out though, but need require the use of a substitute to get them back into it. Good work from captain Balshazzar Bel-Dagon worked their way into the box, before his pass was deflected by a defender into the path of Norman Naram-Ishku, who coolly tucked away at the near post. But the come back was never quite on for the plucky Hexarchy, and just five minutes later, Royston IV Merrick restored the UGB's two goal advantage, volleying home in the box following a goalmouth scramble which saw Forester head against the bar before Talbot forced a good reaction save from the keeper.

Lamantia vs. SanamaWatch the highlights here!Spoiler!
Lamantia went into this final game knowing that unless there was a slip up from Senya, both sides would head through. But the real battle was for second, with Sanama knowing that anything other than a win for them would see Lamantia claim the runner-up spot in the group. Lamantia started well, with Sven Ebersbacher forcing an early reaction save from John Hammonds, but Sanama stood firm. It was actually the Benacians who took the lead, with Taki Walu and Mushe Kanti combining well in the midfield, before Kanti's scuffed strike from the edge of the box found the bottom corner through a crowd of players, with Sebastian Rheine in the Lamantian net completely unsighted. Sanama weren't lucky to be in the lead though, with them controlling the play and seeing Mariolino Sonetti head over from close range, all before Christopher Andretti pounced on a loose ball at the far post that evaded the defence to prod home a second for Sanama just before half-time.Spoiler!
The second half saw Lamantia come out with fresh intent. Substitute Martin Nürstein pulled them back into the game, heading home at the near post from Reuben Frederiksen's cross, before Ebersbacher again came close to scoring, this time Hammonds tipping a teasing half-volley over the bar. But Sanama would once again crush their supporter's nerves with a goal, with their own substitute Gjanluca Totti racing on to a through ball, before slotting home across the goalkeeper to put his side 3-1 up. Kristian Jentzsch set up a late grandstand finish by tapping home a loose ball during a goalmouth scramble, but as the game ticked out, Lamantia pulled their foot off of the throttle as Sanama saw out a classic victory.
