Re: [New forum] Name
Maybe Cairney can do a version with the text on one line so we can compare?
It may also be beneficial to have a blank version of that logo on hand so we don't have to bug him to make us new logos all the time.

Re: [New forum] Name
Hmm hub.mn is nice though we may find ourselves listed on Mongol search engines and websites due to our using their domain name! I think the issue with the hub.mn name could also be that it's not overtly micronational and to someone new to the hobby or considering joining it they'll be looking for the word 'micronational'- what we're doing here is essentially refounding the identity of the entire Micran Sector (though the phrase is probably redundant now as with the exceptions of Hanover and Gotzborg practically all Anglophone simulationist mns of note are Micran)- and as such we should stake a claim to being the micronational site.
hub.mn is nice but strikes me as too vague, to cut a long story short.

All on one line, made bigger and a little bit of shadow so when the images is scaled down it doesn't too bare;

The text is a bit messy but once scaled down it'll be unnoticeable.

Yes, the simplicity of just 'hub.mn' was why I suggested a two-part name.Maximos wrote:Hmm hub.mn is nice though we may find ourselves listed on Mongol search engines and websites due to our using their domain name! We're not aiming for a high placement ourselves - Iain's micronations.net already has that and challenging it would be counter-productive, especially why he has offered further integration.

I still like the other one better.Cairney wrote:What about; http://i.imgur.com/j9kLw.png

Re: [New forum] Name
I liked the swirl one personally, I felt it could go well with the idea of having segments on the main splash page
Could have the swirl in the background with the segments overlayed on top

Re: [New forum] Name
I say we stick with the swirl.
Also, Spangle, do you not read your PMs or something?

I did, I just never got around to replying, but basically, we haven't decided who will have admin powers, we'll decide by votes and such, also I think we might have a vote to make thee changes
