Handball (II)
Handball (II)
Greetings,
Since unfortunately a Handball league could not be created, I have decided to make this dream finally come true.
I am proud to announce the foundation of the MICRAS HANDBALL FEDERATION (MHF), with its provisional headquarters in Port Isherwood - Gerenia's most sport loving city.
How will it work:
1. Membership: The MHF will be composed of affiliated nations, which will have to apply for membership, through their respective national associations. The members will have the right to host competitions.
2. Structure: The MHF will be governed by a President (currently me). More positions (and continental federations) might be created as long as the Federation grows.
3. Competitions: The MHF will organise international and continental competitions for both men and women teams, while the organisation of exhibition matches and national tournaments will be left to the involved national associations.
4. Simulation: By now (only by now, I hope), the results of the matches will be made by a random generator half-created by me.
As you probably reckon, the first goal to be reached is the successful organisation of a World Cup this year. If the nations that have voiced their intentions of taking part in intermicronational handball in the original thread could confirm their participation, that would be great.
If you have any question and/or proposal, don't hesitate to let me know.
Thanks for your time,

I can only say: GOOD LUCK mate.
Handball isn't one of the most appreciated sports in Birgeshir,but I think it would be right to join in.

Re: Handball (II)
As someone who actually plays handball regularly, I s'pose we should sign-up. Even if it's just quickly generated results, it's better than nothing
Re: Handball (II)
Zeeburg will (because handball is the must beautifull sport ever - and I play it ). I hope the results will look a little normaly because it is auto...
But good luck!

As a person who came up with the idea, I approve this Is it possible to see some test scores, though? I'd like to see how far does the random part go

Re: Handball (II)
First of all, thanks very much for your interest!
Now well, I'm still working on the generator. It will be quite simple: besides generating the scores (both final and at half-time), it will show how many goals were scored by each player. Once finished, I'll do some testing, and I'll come back (that would be when I finish moving).
In the meantime, you can apply for membership by filling the form below:
Which must be filled with the following information (leave blank if not applicable):
1. Your Nation's full name;
2. Please specify your Nation's status, if not independent;
3. Name of your Nation's handball governing body; doesn't imply you'll be running handball leagues or having to do anything at all;
4. Full name and seating capacity; not too necessary – you can "build" it later;
5. Anything you would like to add.
And here's the first application:
Micras Handball Federation – Membership Application
1. Nation: Republic of Gerenia
2. Type of government: Semi-federal republic
3. Association: Gerenia Handball Association (English) / Strazal sar Ármebau Žerénies (Gerenian)
4. Home Stadium: Stärčy Arena, 10,250
5. Notes:

Why IS it relevant though?
Re: Handball (II)
I can understand for hosting tournaments - (you don't want a facist dictatorship hosting a competition) but for just joining. It's a bit wierd.

Re: Handball (II)
Like when they refused to give Germany the Olympics in 1936? Or the Winter Olympics in 1936? Or when they didn't give the Soviet Union the Olympics in 1980?
What difference does it make?

Tradition. It probably wasn't relevant in 2007, but we've kept it in the form ever sincejoefoxon wrote:Why IS it relevant though?
