Re: Jamie Dent misses training
Jamie Dent has reportedly missed a third training session in as many weeks, prompting concern about his health, after he was spotted leaving his doctor's surgery two weeks ago after missing training, especially after Paul Óma-ó-Täó was diagnosed with stomach cancer last week, with some fearing Dent may have received some similar news.

Dent denies cancer fears
Jamie Dent has denied rumours that he has been diagnosed with cancer in his first public appearance since he started missing training sessions two weeks ago. In a statement he said "There have been certain people who think that I've been missing training because I've been told I have cancer, but it's not true. I've got a lot going on in my life at the minute, and I feel that I need to get things in order before coming back to the club on a regular basis."

Re: Jamie Dent misses training
A relative of Tow Law's Jamie Dent has released a statement today on his behalf. The full text of the statement is given below.
'I would like to express my thanks to all throughout the footballing world who have given me their best wishes over the past few months. I feel the time is right to tell the supporters that I probably won't be coming back. The most difficult thing about it was not knowing if I would see the end of the season, but it soon dawned on me that that was not the most important thing. The most important thing for me now, is to make sure other people don't end up in the same position. The players and staff at Tow Law already know this, but I have AIDS. I won't be saying anything else to the media on that matter.'

Jamie Dent released on compassionate grounds
Tow Law midfielder Jamie Dent has been released by the club on compassionate grounds after he recently announced publicly that he has AIDS. A statement made on behalf of the player said 'I wish the club the best of luck in the future, and I feel very sorry that I am unable to be a part of it' before joking that 'I would like to clarify at this point that I won't be considering a move to North Antarctica, because I know they have a tendency to pounce!'

Jamie Dent passes away
Former Tow Law midfielder Jamie Dent has passed away today at the age of 27, following a four-year-long battle with AIDS. News of his death was confirmed at 9:30 this morning. Tributes have poured in from throughout the Mercury League, with a number of memorials being created outside each of the top flight's stadiums.
Dent was part of Tow Law's 2012 Premier League winning squad, and participated in the 2012-13 EMUFA Champions' League, where the club reached the quarter-finals. He was also awarded with a runners-up medal for the 2013 Premier League season, after playing in more than half of the club's matches before his diagnosis and subsequent release on compassionate grounds.
Tow Law FC have announced plans to name a stand at their Ironworks Road ground in his honour, and the Mercury FA are expected to announce a tribute of their own in the next few days.
