The eleven planets
The eleven planets in the Atos system. I find Glinos interesting for its strong reflection of the sunlight. And Indigo of course, which looks (don't say it can ) to have the opportunity to sustain lifeforms.

Re: The eleven planets
That can be arranged!
Maybe you can make me a simple system so I can easily upload them?

Re: The eleven planets
Excellent stuff! Doubtless there are a few more further out planets and planetoids beyond the gas giants (I presume that the gas giants would naturally be pretty far out from Atos in relation to Micras, and that they naturally provide protection against asteroids coming into the neighbourhood), but I would be interested to see a Venus analogue (Not only because I find Venus interesting, but because it would be a real challenge to send probes to and it would be fun to have series after series of probe just be crushed by the pressure on the surface).

Re: The eleven planets
These pictures were made thanks to a program which Bill had used (and edited that way that you could visit the Micras system). I remember adding a Batavian space station around Micras (which I could see floating around it). Perhaps interesting to revive that project (if I ever find the program again on my PC).

That'd be excellent if you could do that!

Re: The eleven planets
I found a picture of the program (it's called Celestia) on Bill's site:joefoxon wrote:That'd be excellent if you could do that!
I think that the program (with Bill his mod) itself is still installed on my old computer, so I can try to find and upload it.

Re: The eleven planets
Bill: ooh gotta find it. Actually I did more than just the system; I added stars as well, so it's basically a whole galaxy (er, granted one with an even spherical distribution of stars; My next step was to change that distribution but never got around to it)
Bill: I should place my conworld in the same celestia universe :p
Bill: i'll go find it at home. making stuff like that is trivial
Bill: ...plus i have astro grad student friends here so I can probably make something slightly more rigorous
