I just want to get people thinking of nominations and it would be a shame to miss one of our longest traditions (perhaps even our longest? I've been pretty impressed that we've managed to do this every year for however many years )

Carl Jackson for the micronational Discord chat system!
Award for Conflict Resolution ("the Beard")
Asara Sisu, J. A. J. Primo de Aguilar, & Kaiser Dominus for the SANE alliance between Shireroth, Alexandria and Natopia. The treaty solidifies close relationship and cooperation between three very different countries. The treaty has resolved a lot. Remember, not long ago, the three nations were very weary of one another. Relations between Natopia and Shireroth were more or less dead from Elwynn's secession until the Kaisership of Ayreon III. Alexandria and Natopia had distrusted one another after the failed Novasolum project. They are now friendly and allied with one another.
Award for Cultural Development:
Shirewiki. So many articles there now about everything cultural from minor backstory people to kings and emperors of old. The development has been rapid, and there are about 10 edits every day at least!
Award for Economics ("the Andreas")
Shireroth and Natopia for leaving the SCUE.
Award for Art ("the Artz")
David, (Jonas's brother), for impressive portraits. Someone help me find the links plz?

Award for History ("the RIMA")
The Norton Calendar. Although not new this year, it has spread from Elwynn and Natopia, and has been officialized by Shireroth, Constancia, and even Alexandria thought of adopting it. Having a RL month corresponding to a Micras year is a logical concept that has won much favour. Initially developed by the People's Academy of Elwynn, and then adapted to each country according to its own needs. The initial thing though is that the year of Norton's death is Year 0. Currently it's the year 1642.
Award for Leadership ("the Mortis")
Edgard (the real life dude). Alexandria is blossoming (having lead several well-organized elections through a set of rules!). He had a good kaisership (as Kaiser Hjalmar Redquill) in Shirekeep and is now the man in charge of Natopia's executive (as Benjamin Meir).
If you want Micran personas, I'd then say a joint award to Emperor Edgard II, Prince Audun Joel of Elwynn (Kaiser's "secular" name), and Benjamin Meir.
Award for Sport ("the Craitman")
Queen Noor for reintroducing bloodsport in Goldshire.
Award for Most Promising New Micronation
Blackstone! Trade geeks already involved in major conflicts in the world.
Award for Overall Achievement ("the Shane")
Ardy. Do I need to say anything more?

Jack -- despite almost being banned from Shireroth by the previous Kaiser was banned from applying citizenship, but through persistence nonetheless gained citizenship. Reminds me of Carl's attempts to get Shirerithian citizenship those many years ago...

In line with a threat I made earlier this month, my first nomination is
The Award for Literature: Krasniy; for the 'Yastreb Saga' (Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11) which establishes Minarboria as not so much a Micronation as a shared hypertextual fiction and which provides the narrative spine to any attempt to understand, interpret and enjoy Minarboria. An honorary mention is due to Shyriath as well for his superlative efforts which can be found scattered throughout the Minarborian forum and wiki (well worth a read, incidentally), but its the consistent output that sets Krasniy apart and makes him I think the stand out contender for being the closest thing we have to a corpus of readable literature in this hobby.

Something really horrible has happened to my syntactic flow this year and I'm surprised anyone can understand my written work at all, but it's nice to know I have fans
Award for Conflict Resolution ("the Beard")
I nominate Kaiser Hjalmar of Shireroth, who somewhat exceeded expectations when he was put on notice that the unregulated antics of his military-industrial complex were compromising his foreign policy and pushing his realm toward a state of war with Minarboria. Not only did he comply with the Shrubbery's polite requests for an explanation, he went out of his way to balance out the torrent of anti-Minarborian propaganda on Elwynnese TV with alternative programming commissioned by Imperial Decree from Raynor's Keep itself. Thanks in no small part to Hjalmar's critical intervention, Minarboria has been spared the full heat of Shireroth's military adventurism in the years since, joining the rest of the world in jolly spectatorship as Goldshire and Dietsland are consumed by fire instead. A happy outcome for all, to be sure.
Award for Cultural Development:
I'd like to nominate Passio-Corum Guy, whose more common names momentarily escape me, for plugging away at the MicrasWiki with many interesting articles on his realm (most recently culminating in an impressively thorough survey of Corum's wildlife) which continues to set the Micras standard for solitary work, bringing the idea of the one-man nation out of the cringeworthy abyss of the Troy/Sander era into something altogether more dignified.
It's also worth adding that his entire corpus of work seems to be rustled up from scratch, without any pastiche of real-life worlds that I can see (any imitations being so subtle and nuanced as to be invisible). Whole species, races and cultures have sprung from this guy's brain in an admirably choate cloud with very little adulteration by real-world influences. Not only that, but he seems to do it all for his own pleasure - without massive concern for attention or validation from outside. I wish I had his creativity and patience.

I happily second the nomination of David aka Aurelia Myksos.
Award for History ("the RIMA")
I nominate Ardy, for documenting his own destruction of the lands I once called home in such a well-thought-out and occasionally amusing manner that I can just about bring myself to forgive him. A lesson to all aspiring despots that if you're going to put the boot in, it pays to 'show your working' if you want to make your efforts stick.

I'm gonna say Rasmus who, after being forcibly divested of Walstadt and conducting the momentary ragequit which will forever be known as "Jexit", still had the good grace to swallow his pride and revive Jingdao in a less pathogenic form, under the pearl of heavenly wisdom that is the Sheng Doctrine. Until he gets bored again and caves in to the trollier side of his nature, the existence of modern Jingdao is a credit to the sector which in all honesty I would miss if it wasn't around, even though Kildare was wiped off the map to keep it.
Award for Overall Achievement ("the Shane")
I have no hesitation in seconding the nomination of Ardy. After an initial, and in hindsight hilarious claim that he only works "fitfully if at all", he's been ridiculously active this year and has played a role in almost every major event in the sector (including a frankly charitable presence in Minarboria, which isn't the easiest place to break into) to the point that he's wound up with SCUE admin and the Shirerithian Kaisership among other accumulated roles. His verbiage across various forums has been matched by his contributions on the ShireWiki, all of which are shot through with that heady brew of titillating amorality and effortless panache for which he has long since ascended to the lofty heights of legend...

Could this be Ardy's Year - the Year of Ardy - Y'Ardy? I can think of no-one more deserving for the Odlum. We should probably rename that award, as we did with the Dusch (now the Jeremy Bellamy...) and perhaps the judges could look into that suggestion during their deliberations.

The Maritime Markets of the Strait of Haifa. A new take on running a nation, being wiki-based and economy-fuelled, with a few ideas that could have a decent future.
Sport
Craitman. Going for the hat-trick of self-nominated awards, my WikiProject aiming to create league and club articles was pretty much the only notable thing to happen in the FMF this year that wasn't part of the usual cycle of tournaments.
Also, is a FNORD judging board required yet, or are we waiting on a confirmed panel of judges?
