Coming home to Micras
Greetings good people of this community,
I am James E. Wilary. In the time from 2010-2012, I was involved with Micras as part of the Federated Republics of A1 and the Republic of Pontus, along with Gordon Freeman (Philip Fish). I hope to become involved again with this community. Micras was my favorite part of micronationalism, and I would love to become involved once more.
I hope you are all safe in this time of real world crisis.

Re: Coming home to Micras
Welcome back - always good to see old faces reappear no matter how fleeting their time here was!
Since you were last around, there's been a slight change in how we generally do things, which might ease your route back into being involved. Focus has mostly shifted onto MicrasWiki and away from the traditional national forums (although a fair few still remain active), which means many projects are now purely one-man machines.
We've also relaxed our age requirements for joining the map, so new nations need only be one month old to claim - rather than the prior three - and land may be "reserved" ahead of this threshold, so nobody else can steal it from under your nose while you start developing things
Oh, and we've had a bit of an influx of MicroWiki converts since 2012 who have stuck around, so you may see some familiar names as well!

Hi James, long time no see!
I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Barnaby from Senya, and somehow I've now been doing micronations for 10 years!
I remember you mostly from your work on Prsänëa, particularly your conlang work, I still remember reading through your Prsänëan-English dictionary.
Hope you're well!

That sounds wonderful! I hope to hear from people. If I understand the process, you currently want people to have a nation active for a month, such as active on the wiki you linked?Craitman wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 12:00 pmWelcome back - always good to see old faces reappear no matter how fleeting their time here was!

I do! It's good to see you. And yes, my conlangs were some of the funnest projects I ever did. I still do a little bit of conlang work, but nothing like Prsanean was.Senya wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 2:39 pmHi James, long time no see!

That's right, or their own national forum or wiki. MicrasWiki has had a boom in recent years, so it's become a really good tool when it comes to easily interacting with others...James E Wilary wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 9:48 amThat sounds wonderful!
